T-Dance Edition 2010 Volume 1 | Take 3

Sorry for the delay. Sunday was just too fabulous to pass up, so Rick and I stepped out to enjoy. Apparently, we weren’t the only ones that felt that way because all the restaurants with outdoor patios were packed. Car and foot traffic around Piedmont Park was unbelievable, but we made it through to our favorite taqueria, Frogs. Of course, with the good comes the bad. The waitress misplaced my card, so I had to call the bank and cancel it a.s.a.p. Stuff happens. Fun turned to busy by Monday, and today is no different. So, I’m going to keep this brief and just say this is one heck of a mix! You’ll notice the inclusion of Moto Blanco mix of Mary J. Blige’s “I Am.” In a previous post, I suggested there were no official mixes and then this shows up along with a Dave Aude production as well. Guess I was wrong. I also dropped their mix of “Loubitons” by J-Lo. I don’t know what it is about Moto Blanco vs. Jennifer and Mary, but those mixes always seem to go down like a cool glass of iced tea. Always delightful and no aftertaste. I’m working on the first Diva Series of the year, which for the most part is done. Many of the songs on the first set are pretty old and definitely need some surgery to bring them up to date. Bounced against more recent mixes, I’m having to take those down a notch so both sides can meet in the middle. It’s not that easy, but I’m up for the task. The goal is to have that first set sail smoothly without a highly compressed song screaming through your ears after something that’s considerably more subdued. I’ll work it out, I always do. Well, I’m out of here for now. I’ll try to get these other mixes up by the weekend. Until then, enjoy!
