RAGE | Peak Hour Stress Relief
Sunday Oct 25, 2020
Sunday Oct 25, 2020
With only 9 days left until the elections — Party Favorz is offering up RAGE the next episode in Peak Hour mayhem! I find that the harder the better when I need to let it out without going off on everyone else.
Initially, this set was to be posted yesterday but due to some issues with the new PWA pounding our servers that caused some massive memory issues — the stellar original post couldn't be saved. Since I'm in no mood to recreate the original — may I suggest you just download, hit play, and let the music do the rest?
Don't be fooled by the first track, which is more House Music than anything (even though it's listed as Tech House) because right after, everything heats up and stays that way until you get to the end with a new rework of the 90's Robert Miles Trance Classic "Children" to close it out.
I've already compiled a new Dance Club for release next week and will then start work on the next two years (1992 - 1993) of The Ultimate 90's House Music Classics series for November release.
I hope everyone has a great weekend...until the next time...ENJOY!

Let’s Go Dancin’ | Cosmopolitan Dance Music
Saturday Oct 17, 2020
Saturday Oct 17, 2020
As Party Favorz gears up to enhance your music experience with our soon-to-launch standalone app, let's pivot for a moment and delve into the groove. Our latest set, "Let's Go Dancin'," showcases a sophisticated yet relaxed vibe that could easily become the backdrop of an upscale bar where the martinis flow just as smoothly as the conversations.
A standout track in this collection is "Found Love" by Double Dee and Dany, a 1990 chart-topper which also appeared on our Ultimate 90’s House Music Classics collection. David Penn reimagines this timeless classic with a 2020 touch, while staying reverent to the original. And let's not overlook the other gems: "One Man" by Chanelle & Eric Kupper, "Wa Wa Wesss" by Gilgamesh & Jim West, and "Breakaway" by Grant Nelson all contribute to a set that's nothing short of disco ecstasy.
Initially, there were concerns about not having enough material, but after multiple listens, it's clear those worries were unfounded. Clocking in at three solid hours, "Let's Go Dancin'" offers up a flawless flow of House, Jackin' House, NuDisco, and Disco House beats that'll resonate with any aficionado of the genre.
Looking ahead, our next Peak Hour set is right around the corner, followed by the eagerly awaited HW20 Halloween set. Unfortunately, Circuit Tribal House aficionados will have to wait a little longer; there's not enough fresh content in that sub-genre to justify a new set right now.
As the weather in the southeast keeps us guessing, fluctuating between fall vibes and fleeting warmth, we're all for embracing whatever sunshine comes our way. So, while you wait for your Party Favorz app notifications and new episodes, lose yourself in the carefully crafted rhythms of "Let's Go Dancin'."
So grab your favorite drink, and let's go dancin' to some chilled yet invigorating beats. We're pretty confident that this set will leave you more than satisfied. Until the next time...ENJOY!

Exploring 90s House Music Classics 1988 – 1991, Volume 3
Thursday Oct 15, 2020
Thursday Oct 15, 2020
With the arrival of Volume 3, we conclude our vibrant journey through the ultimate 90s House music classics spanning from 1988 to 1991, and it's nothing short of sensational!
This set presents the magic of Marshall Jefferson's "Move Your Body (The House Music Anthem)" that rocked the charts anew in 2020, and Lisa Stansfield's timeless "People Hold On," whose Dirty Scoundrels remix ignited the club scene years later. They perfectly encapsulate the unique blend of creativity, innovation, and rhythm that defines the ultimate 90s House music classics.

In this anthology, the celebrated icons share space with underground gems, representing the House music scene's multifaceted charm. From the erotic Acid House of Lil' Louis' "French Kiss" to Ralphi Rosario's 80's underground smash "You Used To Hold Me," featuring the unforgettable monologue by Xavier Gold, these tracks remind us why the ultimate 90s House music classics continue to reverberate through contemporary dance floors. The first time I heard "French Kiss" was when I was cruising the Mining Company bar in Dallas and the DJ dropped this song. It completely blew my mind because it was not like anything else out at the time. The slow down in the middle with the female groans before slowly building back up into its throbbing beats was out of this world.

Who can resist Crystal Waters' "Gypsy Woman," with its memorable Basement Boy's Strip To The Bone Mix, or the David Morales Classic Mix of Shawn Christopher's "Another Sleepless Night"? Whether it's Frankie Knuckles' ethereal "The Whistle Song" or catchy one-offs like Right Said Fred's "I'm Too Sexy," these 90s House music classics offer something for every fan of the genre. I remember dancing the night away to Crystal Waters' "Gypsy Woman" in my first visit to New York City. That song is forever etched in my memory.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qR87PA8e_aA
The breadth and depth of the classics, from crossover hits to essential club tracks, are astonishing. Songs like Black Box's "Everybody Everybody" and Inner City's "Good Life (Magic Juan's Remix)" not only set the dance floor on fire but continue to influence today's musical panorama. These tracks have been tapped, flipped, and revered, testifying to the enduring power of the original ultimate 90s House music classics. There's a story behind "Good Life" that I won't recount here lest I get in trouble but it's a worthy one.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ztd__xu1YGA
My enthusiasm might shine through when discussing these remarkable dance cuts. It's not just about the beats; it's about the history, evolution, and how these classics resonate with today's audience. The series might be coming to an end, but the story of House music and its incredible influence lives on.
Get ready for more as we plan to stagger releases in two-year sets over the coming months. We invite you to savor and appreciate the ultimate 90s House music classics, a timeless testament to the rhythm that never fades.
Until the next time...ENJOY!

Volume 2 of our journey into the best 90s House music classics continues the pulsating rhythm that started with the first edition. This collection brings together iconic tunes that defined the dance floor, featuring the 90s House music classics that set the stage for a musical revolution.
Whether it's the energetic vibe of D-Mob's and Cathy Dennis' collaboration on "C'mon and Get My Love," the unforgettable dance anthem by C + C Music Factory in the Clivillés & Cole Hip-House Club Mix of "Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)," or the David Morales Remix of Technotronic's "Pump Up the Jam," these classic House music 90s tracks never fail to stir memories.

But it's not only about the songs you might know by heart; it's also about rediscovering the Old School House Music treasures that laid the groundwork for the genre. Maurice's "This Is Acid," Royal House's "Get Funky," Double Dee's "Found Love," and Steve "Silk" Hurley's "Jack Your Body" echo the inventive hooks and beats that defined a generation eager for fresh sounds.
Let's not forget the lost classics that still resonate, like Hithouse's Party Mix of "Jack To The Sound Of The Underground." This track captures the essence of Acid House and seamlessly blends into the rising Techno wave. It's an integral part of the 80s sound that set the stage for what was to come.

The Def Club Mix of Adeva's "It Should Have Been Me" and the Brothers In Rhythm Mix of Black Box's "Strike It Up" take their well-deserved place in this compilation, keeping the beats and nostalgia alive. From Joey Negro's Dum Dum Club Mix of "Do What You Feel" to the Hurley's House Mix of Jomanda's "Gotta Love For You," these classics echo an era where creativity and rhythm knew no bounds.

Hold tight; the ride through the best 90s House music classics isn't over. There's one more volume covering this fascinating four-year span, set to drop soon. 90s Classic House Music: The Ultimate Classics [1988 – 1991] Volume 1
Saturday Oct 10, 2020
Saturday Oct 10, 2020
House music, an enduring and transformative genre, found its origins in the mid-1980s, maturing and taking firm roots by the end of the decade which evolved into what's now considered 90s Classic House music. Remember the "Disco Sucks" movement in the early 80s? Dance music never really disappeared; instead, it began a fragmented evolution. Thanks to synth-laden tracks and beat machines made famous by DJ icons like Giorgio Moroder and Cerrone, it morphed into new realms.
The Evolution of 90s Classic House Music
From New Wave dance and Hi NRG to classic House music in the 90s, the genre's influence has permeated every dance floor. Early subdivisions like Acid House, Hip Hop, Breakbeat, Freestyle and Trip Hop paved the way for commercial sensations like "Pump Up the Volume," by M/A/R/R/S, the Shep Pettibone remix of "Bizarre Love Triangle," and "Vogue" by Madonna as well as the Acid House classic "Theme from S'Express" by S'Express.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGbUOlTLzqk
Spanning from 1988 to 1991, the Ultimate 90's House Music Classics series encapsulates this genre's underground roots before its mainstream success. The 90s House music classics like "Finally," by CeCe Peniston "Show Me Love," by Robin S and "Gypsy Woman (She's Homeless)" by Crystal Waters owe their existence to the humble beginnings in Chicago, spreading to New York and then globally.
Superstar DJs and the 90s House Music Classics
Classic House music 90s didn't just shape the era; it created legends. Beyond Frankie Knuckles, figures like Larry Levan, Steve "Silk" Hurley, and David Morales were pivotal in the genre. The Shep Pettibone remix of "Rhythm Nation" by Janet Jackson, or Shep's House Mix of "Miss You Much" are a testament to the talent of these pioneers.
This series wouldn't be complete without mentioning songs like Soul II Soul's "Keep On Movin'" and "Back 2 Life (However Do You Want Me)" or the 12" Choice Mix of "Finally" by Ce Ce Peniston. And who could forget the ever-catchy Nomad's "(I Wanna Give You) Devotion"? Whether they were original hits like Snap!'s "The Power" or Marshall Jefferson's "Move Your Body," which is been remastered and released as a hit just recently — they each contributed to the 90s classic House music legacy.
Of course, not every track was timeless. Right Said Fred's "I'm Too Sexy" might have been a one-off earworm, but it, along with the Shep Pettibone Remix of Madonna's "Vogue," belongs to the larger narrative of this influential era.

In Conclusion
Compiling, mixing, and remastering the best 90s House remixes has been a remarkable endeavor. Party Favorz's journey through these old school House music hits provides not only nostalgia but inspiration for aspiring DJs. This history keeps repeating itself, making it worth your time to explore and educate yourself.
With the first three volumes scheduled for release soon, followed by some new Disco House and Peak Hour sets, this collection stands as a testament to love, passion, and devotion to all things House Music.
Until the next time...ENJOY!

Sunday Sep 27, 2020
Sunday Sep 27, 2020
After several fits and stops, Party Favorz is finally dropping the annual Fall Edition featuring the season's biggest circuit, tribal anthems, and is this one HUGE!
It took a while to wrap my head around some of these tracks to get them to flow the way I envisioned but after trial and error then walking away and coming back to it — everything finally fell together.
Everything you come to expect is here with all the latest circuit offerings featuring the biggest hit songs, the biggest divas, fisting pumping anthems, uplifting tracks, and just plain ole party hard fun-filled tribal fun. It's more than enough to make you forget about the pandemic and look forward to coming out the other end of this shitshow.
With this release, I'm finally back on schedule and will likely start rolling out some of the promised Ultimate 90s House Classics later this week before jumping into the latest Disco House and Peak Hour sets. I'm not certain about the release timeline of the annual Madonna compilation(s) just yet. It'll happen when it happens.
For now, I know you guys have been eagerly waiting for the next circuit set since July and I didn't want to make you wait until next week. There's more than enough here to hold you over until the Holiday Edition. Until then...ENJOY!
This episode was edited by removing seven songs from the original mix to keep tight and cohesive. Otherwise, everything is identical.

Lady Gaga’s 2020 Remix Revolution: Just Dance — The Diva Series
Thursday Sep 24, 2020
Thursday Sep 24, 2020
Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, known professionally as Lady Gaga, is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, actress, and businesswoman. She is known for her consistent image reinventions and versatility in both music and entertainment.
The Fame (Monster) [2008 - 2010]
We will stop right there because Lady Gaga has been a persistent presence in our lives since 2008 when she broke through with her album "The Fame," which featured two #1 songs ("Just Dance" and "Poker Face") and two top ten songs ("Love Game" and "Paparazzi") followed by supplemental EP that featured three more top tens ("Bad Romance," "Telephone" [with Beyoncé], and "Alejandro").
2008 - 2010 was a dizzying time for Lady Gaga as she catapulted from an unknown to a worldwide superstar seemingly overnight. Every appearance and every sitting featured her in a new outfit designed to keep her name in the news.
Born This Way [2011]
She built on her credibility with fans (especially young gay fans) with the release of "Born This Way" whose self-titled single shot to #1 on the charts and embraced the diversity of all stripes but none more than the LGBTQ community who embraced the song as our own.
Artpop, Cheek To Cheek, Joanne [2013 - 2016]
By 2013, she released the uneven "Artpop," which while filled with more dance anthems — was conceptually overthought, and the build-up to its release was a bit of disappointment but fans remained by her side.
She quickly followed up the next year with a duets album with the classic crooner Tony Bennett on "Cheek To Cheek" album which garnered positive reviews and netted the pair Grammy for "Best Traditional Pop Album." It was precisely at this moment the world knew there was more to this woman than a piano, persona, and good voice — rather mad talented.
A Star Is Born [2018]
Lady Gaga followed up with "Joanne" a more personal album that achieved mild success. Two years later she was reborn as the leading lady in the remake of the movie classic "A Star Is Born" opposite Bradley Cooper. The movie opened to rave reviews and its lead single "Shallow" (a duet with Bradley Cooper) reached #1 on the Hot 100 chart.
In 2015 her live performance at the Oscar's singing a medley of songs from the "Sound of Music" soundtrack, generated rave reviews because it showcased her vocal diversity like no other. The woman is truly a force within the industry.
Chromatica [2020]
With the release of the stellar "Chromatica," 2020 has been a stellar year of Lady Gaga with the return to her dance roots which generated one of the biggest songs of the summer, and the year "Rain On Me" with Ariana Grande.
Personal life
Lady Gaga has been very open about her battle with depression — something this writer can personally empathize with. The tendency to battle through the most trying times and then pull back before diving in again is a common theme for many though pulling back has never been an option for me. I hope that after she finishes all the promotion and video releases for her current album — she's able to take the necessary time off to regenerate and maintain a semblance of normality in her life.
It's with much love and respect that Party Favorz for a third time honors the unbelievably talented and beautiful soul, Miss Lady Gaga into the Diva Hall of Fame where she holds her rightful place. ENJOY!

Katy Perry 2020 | The Diva Series
Sunday Sep 20, 2020
Sunday Sep 20, 2020
Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson known professionally as Katy Perry, is an American singer, songwriter, and television judge. Katy is no stranger to the Diva Hall of Fame and unless you've been living under a rock for the past 13 years — the woman has been a force in pop music with nine number-one singles and has sold 18 million albums and 125 million singles worldwide.
Katy Perry was lit voice for a generation of millennials with massive hits like "I Kissed A Girl," "California Gurls," "Teenage Dream," "Firework" (a massive gay anthem), "Roar," "Dark Horse," and more.
Her highly anticipated big-budget videos like "Roar" and "Dark Horse" were the first of any artist to reach a billion views. This was proof that MTV may be dead but the art of video making was not, where YouTube and Vimeo picked up the slack generating millions for artists and music publishers.
As with many artists of her era — her fans grew up, got jobs, and settled down with families of their own. As such, her music has continued to mature while retaining that goofy, playful persona we've all come to love about her. With a new marriage to hottie Orlando Bloom and baby appropriately named "Daisy," it may be time for her music to transition into the young admirable adult she's become because I think her fans will continue to follow her. Even though her excellent release "Smile" received a lukewarm reception from critics, there's plenty of evidence that the transition is already occurring.
That being said — I feel there's an elephant in the room that she smartly addressed with a potential collaboration with the Korean pop group Blackpink. This group has already gained superstar status around the globe and is finally making inroads into the U.S. market with their recent "How You Like That." But, their recent collaborations with Lady Gaga, Dua Lipa, and Selena Gomez (all Diva Hall of Fame inductees) have raised the question as to whether these ladies (see their management and label) are more interested in promoting themselves by poaching established artists and their fan base.
None of these collaborations have yielded a major hit but have generated millions of views (read ad revenue) and streams. It's unknown what the deals entail but I suspect they highly favor this group who has yet to prove their value in the U.S. market. Look no further than the "Sour Candy" duet with Lady Gaga where she doesn't come in until halfway through the song. It appears Katy has picked up on this and likely knows something I don't but given her recent remarks about a potential collaboration:
Speaking specifically about BLACKPINK, Katy shared with The Standard, "To be honest, I feel like some of that can be just people trying to make numbers. And, I’m not here to make numbers. I’m here to move hearts.
Far be it for Party Favorz to suggest what she should do but if she does — it should be a 60/40 split in her favor.
For now, Party Favorz is celebrating 13 years of one of our most enduring DIVAS. Katy — WE ADORE YOU and wish nothing but the best for you and your family while looking forward to hearing whatever you put out in the future. It's with much love and respect that we reinduct Katy into the Diva Hall of Fame. ENJOY!

Red Hot! | Fall’s Biggest Dance Club Songs
Sunday Sep 13, 2020
Sunday Sep 13, 2020
Party Favorz is kicking the Fall season off with the biggest and best dance club tracks out at the moment. This retains the similar formula of previous releases where you get the latest dance tracks, bootleg remixes of past dance classics and familiar samples of from past monster hits. It’s all here.
I have been inundated with internal and external issues lately forcing me to run a little behind. While everything on the sit is running great — Google has very specific criteria for what they feel is an optimize website and keep changing the goal post. The search results for Party Favorz had been dropping steadily so I’ve had to make a ton of changes on the back-end to make this site Google-friendly — especially for mobile.
Never mind that this site scores 98 on all other metrics and is blazing fast — Google wants developers to squeeze every last ounce of juice from your website predominantly for people still on 3G networks throughout the world. While not necessarily my customer — when it hurts my rankings and bottom line — I’ve got to step up to the plate to meet their challenge.
The work is almost complete but you may experience some slow down over the next 24 hours while I finish up on the back end. All I’ll say is that the changes I’m making are already having a major positive impact so I know I’m heading in the right direction.
Anyway, that’s the gist of everything on the internal and the external issues are not your concern. Just know that I’m on top of everything and releases will continue to flow from here on out.
Until the next time…ENJOY!

Chill To the Final Days Of Summer | Summer Farewell 2020
Saturday Aug 22, 2020
Saturday Aug 22, 2020
I've been working since early this morning on our next "ultimate" series scheduled to be staggered out between September - November that I completely forgot to post the final mix of summer.
Summer Farewell is an annual collection but could be anything from Dance Club, Disco House and in past years Chill Out. Since this isn't a normal year for music releases and it certainly isn't a normal year for life in general — Party Favorz thought it was highly appropriate to bring the temperature down several notches so we can ease into fall and pull back on our anxiety medications that the current political climate and pandemic have wrought upon us.
This set is designed to achieve that goal so you can sit back, relax, smoke a fat phone, drink a glass of wine or do whatever it is that allows you to escape the daily bullshit of our world. I'm sorry to say — after next week it's going to heat up again with daily assaults on not only our way of life but our republic.
For those of you in California — thoughts and prayers are nowhere near enough to express the deep regret I have at the way you've been ignored by the current administration. Stay strong and stay safe.
I'll be taking some time off to finish some work around our home. Since our 20 year old child Katherine passed away — I've been slowly replacing all of our furniture she destroyed over the years by just being her feline self. We've lived here since 2017 when this place was still under construction and plan on staying as long as possible. I need to finish hanging up artwork and paint a floating ledge and our patio furniture that was damaged by a flood in our garage from the unit above it. It's nothing that a fresh coat of paint won't fix.
I've pretty much got September and part of October mapped out already with some sweet releases heading your way. Everything is a bit jumbled because new club releases are not quite as bountiful as they have been in the past. So, I wait until there's enough to compile a set that meets our standards for release instead of just throwing a bunch of crap at you.
I hope things are shaping up well where you're at and if not just remember — it will get better. Until the next time...ENJOY!

Disco Yeah! | Close Out Summer with the Latest Disco House
Wednesday Aug 19, 2020
Wednesday Aug 19, 2020
Party Favorz is dropping a pair of fresh Disco House and Chill Out sets to close out the summer season before picking up again in the fall.
Disco Yeah represents the finest Disco House tunes of the moment that are bound to sizzle your gizzle with deep-fried juicy beats.
Michael Gray kicks off this set with "Take Me Back" (as in Studio 54) with Ian Ossia doing the remix honors. This song is also remixed by 84bit and frankly both remixes are outstanding so it was nothing more than a preference for inclusion.
[youtube v="xjp5TifcuoI"]
Salsoul Records had commissioned the very talented Dr. Packer to remix several classic tracks from their vast collection and here we get not one but two Loleatta Holloway classics that have been updated for today's new disco scene, while remaining true to the originals. "Runaway" and "Hit and Run" are two of the finest from her repertoire as he's already remixed "Love Sensation." The big one we're still waiting for is "Dreaming," but hopefully soon.
Gangs Of Naples & Raffaele Ciavolino sample Loleatta's foray into 80's Dance with "Crash Goes Love" on their "What I Want" — an often overlooked classic loaded with one-liners that have been frequently lifted.
Speaking of classics, Angelo Ferreri takes a deep dive into the Joe T. Vannelli and Eartha Kitt dance floor smash "Where Is My Man" and DJ Aiblo delivers a faithful rework of Kool & the Gang's "Too Hot."
There's no doubt that Billy Porter has had a massive resurgence the past couple of years and he returns with the UK's Shapeshifters on the glorious House track "Finally Ready."
Overall, Disco Yeah raises the temperature with a solid mix of styles that blend together to create a seamless end of summer pool party (even if for only one).
We'll be back on Saturday with the final Chill Out session to close the summer out. Until then...ENJOY!

Turn Up The Volume | Maximum Peak Hour House Music
Friday Aug 14, 2020
Friday Aug 14, 2020
Party Favorz is back with our next installment of Peak Hour mayhem! Turn Up the Volume features the latest in Tech House, Late Nite House, EDM, and Bootleg mashups that are bound to turn some heads.
This set starts off with a simmer and heats up rapidly before boiling over. Lots of fresh originals here like Norman Doray and Piem's "Give It Up," Husko & Stephan Duy's "Hands In The Air," HUGEL's "Cool," and Prok & Fitch's "Indiance."
[youtube v="324DDmUpU_o"]
You may also remember back in February I declared Soffi Tukker's "Good Time Girl" as one of the biggest songs of the year that actually came out last year. Our good friends at Ultra apparently agree and commissioned some official remixes for the song and the Leandro da Silva remix is included here. You better believe the more commercial Benny Bennasi remix will be making its debut on the next Dance Club set.
[youtube v="xE5Jwicp53I"]
My only complaint is that they dropped the white girl rap by Charlie Barker, which added a lot of flavor to the original. Nevertheless, these are stellar remixes coming on top of ST's recent collab with Gorgon City on "House Arrest."
We also have a lot of familiar classic songs that have either been updated ("Gypsy Woman" by Maurizio Basilotta, "Phenomenon" by Sweetpower, "Turnin Me Out" by Chapter & Verse, and "Push It" by Salt-N-Pepa). We even have a rock classic song by Santana "Oye Como Va" being given the House treatment which works oh so well.
Block & Crown deliver "Good For Critics," which uses one of the countless loops and samples in their catalog that is so vast — it's hard to keep up with muchless remember where the samples came from — even though you know you've heard it before.
Finally, Italy's DJs From Mars can always be counted on for mashing up two to three memorable dance classics with something current. Their concoctions are always guaranteed to raise the roof. Here we get the excellent "Not Exactly Boss Bitch in San Frandisco" featuring Doja Cat, Deadmau5 and, Dom Dolla — "All Around the Roses" by SAINt JHN & Imanbek, and R3hab & A Touch Of Class — "Sweet Start Now" by Dua Lipa, The Temper Trap, and Axwell & Dirty South.
In all, Turn Up the Volume demands you do exactly that. Piss off your neighbors or have a late night balcony party. This set is designed for maximum pleasure. ENJOY!
