Blow Your Own Horn 2020
Sunday Jan 12, 2020
Sunday Jan 12, 2020
It ain't 2020 until Party Favorz drops the final year-end dance club set that rocks the house!
For the uninitiated, the annual Blow Your Own Horn series features some of the biggest dance club tracks of the year reworked as massive dance floor bangers to keep the party going. This year's set is no different but I've thrown in a little funky twist here and there as a preview of what's heading your way in the new year.
If you're wondering why I'm only now dropping this set — it's because I spent the last week of the year in the hospital with appendicitis. The tracks had already been compiled and just needed to be mixed. Even after I got out, I had several issues that prevented me from focusing and getting the job done. Better late than never.
I do plan on taking the next couple of weeks off to finish recuperating and will reemerge with the final sets of the Essential 80's Dance Mix, at least a couple of Legacy entries, and something out of leftfield that will fit in nicely with the Trash Disco series. Then, I'll start rolling out fresh sets from our most popular series like Dance Club, Circuit Tribal House, Funky House, and The Underground in February.
I didn't create an intro like I normally do for this set and just picked a track and moved on from there. It heats up by the third track and is fairly relentless from there. There are tons of never before heard bootlegs and mashups in this set to keep your mind, body, and soul engaged. If this isn't your cup of tea — then I highly recommend the Year In Dance 2019, which features the more palatable commercial dance club tracks of the year.
Also, it appears I forgot Ariana Grande's "7 Rings" for which I had several great candidates for this set but shit happens.
I'll give this set a B+ compared to previous efforts only because I haven't had the time to preview it. If there are any mistakes, it's up to you guys to point them out so I can go back and fix them. There shouldn't be but it occasionally happens during the export process.
Until the next time...ENJOY!
I want to give a MASSIVE shoutout to our good friend Anthony for his overly generous donation. I wasn't asking for money when I posted on Facebook about my health issues but that money helped pay for a lot of copays and was more helpful than you'll ever know. Thank you so much! XOXO

Top Dance Songs of 2019 Volume 3
Monday Dec 23, 2019
Monday Dec 23, 2019
We have finally reached the end of the Top Dance Songs of 2019 series with Volume 3 featuring a non-stop mix of the Top Dance Club Songs of 2019.
THE EMO-FICATION OF ELECTRONIC MUSIC
With few exceptions and the trend to a happier Disco sound as discussed in Volume 1 of this year's recap — the overall feel in electronic and club music is generally fairly dark. A lot of the music has been emofied even when its original format is aimed at the dance floor. The biggest artist of the year Post Malone has made an entire career out of it. With one of Malone's biggest hits "Circles" capping off the end of this set — it pretty much sums up the entire genre.
There's nothing wrong with that and the moodiness of much of the music squares well with the current generation that's growing up in a tumultuous time. That's not to say any of these songs are political — because they aren't. The very issues that affect the mood and mindset of the current generation like gun control, global warming, student debt, ongoing wars, racism, and on and on are sadly missing in today's music. From the Boomer rebellion of the 60s to the GenX political activism of Punk Rock, New Wave, and Alternative Rock from the 80s and 90s — the very issues that stress the current generation of Millennials and GenZ are sorely missing. Instead, everything is about feelings and relationships.
This isn't meant to be interpreted as criticism but merely an observation. We know you guys give a shit about these things - so bare your soul in the music and frankly open it up to true Rock 'N' Roll again. More than anything, it's the big corporate labels that need to get with the program because I'm banking there's a massive underground market somewhere waiting to be exploited.
Granted, there's always room for all types of genres and styles from silly love songs, and personal testimonies to fun carefree disco and political discourse in our music. They just haven't figured out how to make it work because the music industry as a whole, is run by a bunch of mindless clone machines. I digress.
IT'S ALL ABOUT DANCE MUSIC
If you haven't figured it out yet, Party Favorz (more specifically me writing in the 3rd person), is a walking encyclopedia of popular music. I've devoured it ever since I was a kid. As you well know — Party Favorz is about escapism and having a good time. It's about perking you up during those long commutes to and from work, it fuels your workouts, it's the soundtrack to your pool parties and gatherings with friends and it's likely the thing that gets you pumped while getting ready to go out for a night on the town. If you've found other creative ways to make use of these mixes — I'd love to hear them.
For better or worse, the songs included in this year-end retrospective of the dance club music scene represents the best and worst (but still hugely popular) Top Dance Songs of 2019. Unlike the rigidity of the charts — Party Favorz attempts to pull all dance club music of relevance that is released throughout the year. Always remember to store these mini-time capsules in a safe place in the cloud. 10 or 20 years from now you'll be glad you did.
I'll be back on Saturday with the annual Blow Your Own Horn series, which will help everyone bring in the New Year in one giant roof-raising party mix.
Until then...Merry Christmas, Happy Hannakua, Happy Kwanza, and Happy Holidays. ENJOY!

Top Dance Songs of 2019 Volume 2
Saturday Dec 21, 2019
Saturday Dec 21, 2019
Party Favorz is back with Volume 2 of our annual non-stop mix Top Dance Songs of the Year featuring the top Dance Club hits of 2019!
Even with the shifting genre tides in dance music, there's always room for some darker songs that break through and become monster hits in their own right. FISHER's surprise hit "Losing It" was released in July 2018 and then had a steady rise to the top of Beatport's dance charts where it ruled for over a month. Shortly after — it made a steady climb up Billboard's Dance Club charts finally nesting the number one spot last year. Spurring a mass amount of mashups and bootlegs, the song was so popular — it ranked again as one of the top tracks for 2019. It was an unlikely candidate for such a monster hit but the infectious deep beats and repetitive refrain just stuck to our brains like super glue.
FISHER followed that up with the equally dark "You Little Beauty" which samples (once again) the fabulous Loleatta Holloway making it his second #1 dance club hit. You could say he's had a very good year and a half.
One of the most mesmerizing and infectious dark tracks of the year is "Piece Of Your Heart" by Meduza featuring Goodboys. This song is an earworm that burrows into your brain and takes up residence while on repeat. Meduza followed up this monster hit with the same song but this time featuring the added vocals of Becky Hill in a reworked version called "Lose Control." That version also topped the charts later in the year. I'm not certain, but this may be the first time two different versions of the same song topped any chart — but, I could be wrong.
HOT DANCE ELECTRONIC SONGS
The artwork for volume two of the Year In Dance features the top Hot Dance Electronic Songs Artists. This is a chart that I only muse with passing interest as it usually has some overlap with the Dance Club charts but is geared more towards streaming, and YouTube streams than anything else to compile its listings. Billboard has multiple sub-category charts under this, which frankly is redundant. This particular chart is important in that it features top songs that fare poorly on the Dance Club chart but often have more uptempo House versions that accompany them.
Marshmello appears to hit all the charts (including Top 40), while The Chainsmokers frat boy electronic dance music generally rules this chart, sometimes Top 40 but not Dance Club. The chart itself is often stale and lists songs that are over a year old — generally because of their ongoing streaming numbers.
Since a few of the Top 10 artists in this category never crossed over to Dance Club or were riding high from last year's releases — I threw out three of them and picked up three more from the Top 15. From left to right there's Kygo, Ellie Goulding, Avicii, Martin Garrix, Calvin Harris, Marshmello, Swae, The Chainsmokers, Bastille, and Bebe Rexha.
RIP AVICII
One of the greatest DJ/producers of the modern era passed away. Avicii was a genius whose music moved millions of people on dance floors and at festivals worldwide. Never content to rest on one style of music, he continued to experiment and even brought in folk music to create giant songs like "Wake Me Up." The song "Levels," which samples the vocals of the fabulous Etta James is a masterpiece in electronic dance music that will live on through the ages. He will be sorely missed.
Party Favorz is currently working on the third and final volume of the Top Dance songs of 2019 and expect to have this out on Monday. I've already begun compiling mashups, bootlegs, and roof-raising tracks for the annual "Blow Your Own Horn" and hope to drop that Saturday of next week. Until then...ENJOY!

Top Dance Songs of 2019 Volume 1
Thursday Dec 19, 2019
Thursday Dec 19, 2019
For the uninitiated, the Top Dance Songs of 2019 is a compilation of the top Dance Club songs of the year as chosen by Party Favorz. In deciding what makes the cut, Party Favorz pulls from Billboard's Year-End charts in Dance Club Songs, Hot Dance Electronic Songs, Hot 100 Songs, and I pull several of my personal favorites from the year that deserve to be included.
Billboard allots points to songs based on the number of weeks they remain on their charts. Typically, it's one point a week, bonus points for entering the Top 10, and then they're assigned higher point values for each position they hold in the Top 10. It's entirely possible that a song that never even hits the top of any of their charts still ranks high for the year due to longevity on the charts.
Much like the Academy Awards, there's a cut-off date at the end of November of each year. Because Party Favorz understands people's memories align with when a song is getting heavy rotation in clubs or dance radio, we also pull from the charts leading up to the last week before Christmas. For instance, Tiesto & Mabel's "God Is a Dancer" just hit the top spot today and is included. As a result, you'll likely notice the same songs hit our year-end retrospectives two years in a row. Ariana Grande's "Thank U, Next" was so massively popular that it generated ongoing club and radio play through the first half of 2019 despite peaking in 2018.
Other tracks that are included are massive songs on the Hot 100 that may or may not even chart on the Dance Club chart but are so popular — they generate a plethora of authorized and bootleg remixes. It would be blasphemous to leave these tracks out because of the demand for them on dance floors and the overall impact they have on popular culture. If we're going to paint a complete picture, their inclusion is mandatory.
DANCE CLUB ARTISTS OF THE YEAR
Speaking of Ariana Grande, she was the top Dance Club artist of the year. The top 10 Dance Club artists are featured as the cover art for this first volume. they feature, Calvin Harris, David Guetta, Madonna, Kendra Erika, Ava Max, Mark Ronson, Bleona, Fisher, and P!nk. I disagree with two of them, but points gave them that position so who am I to argue?
HOW THIS PODCAST STARTED
Party Favorz started right at the time the presidential elections began to heat up as Democrats narrowed their choices down to Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and John Edwards in 2007. Three elections and two presidents later, we're still here right after the impeachment of (not my president) Trump.
During this period, Party Favorz has been part of the revolution in technology like gigabit internet, the iPhone, file sharing to music streaming services. We've also witnessed the evolving trends in dance club music later coined EDM (Electronic Dance Music), which frankly — most of it has been since the 90s but has its roots in the 70s Disco (Donna Summer "I Feel Love").
DISCO IS BACK
We're literally on the precipice of coming full circle and as predicted, Classic Disco is making a comeback in a big way. While Future House, Electro House, Reggaeton, Moonbatan, and Trap have been the mainstays over the past several years and often merged into one another — the eventual return of Disco was inevitable. Indeed, it never went away but was buried in the underground scene and relegated to a select group of tastes that considered themselves connoisseurs of the genre and eventually slapped it with a new label "NuDisco." Call it what you want, but it's still Disco.
I'm expecting a total of three volumes to round out the Top Dance Songs of 2019 with another hopefully dropping on Saturday. For better or worse, these are the Top Dance songs of 2019. ENJOY!

Holiday Edition 2019
Saturday Dec 14, 2019
Saturday Dec 14, 2019
Party Favorz is back with the annual Holiday Edition featuring HOT Santas' and even HOTTER big room, circuit, and tribal house music!
Folks, I worked this shit out! It kicks off with the Offer Nissim remix of "I'm Standing With You" by Chrissy Metz from the "Breakthrough" soundtrack, which is currently riding up the Dance Club charts. While the song might as well be the Pretenders' "I'll Stand By You," I expect it to be this year's "This Is Me" or "Let It Go."
Things quickly heat up as the set launches into some peak-hour tribal madness and hold it there pretty much throughout. We've brand-spanking new tracks from Dua Lipa, Selena Gomez, Galantis & Dolly Parton, Madonna, Debby Holiday, Sam Smith, Judy Garland (say what?), and the entertainer of the year Lizzo.
We also have the massive new track "Just A Lie" from the indomitable Kristine W. Pt. 1 of this release contains a bevy of remixes that are ripe for any dancefloor. The Tony Moran and Erick Ibiza mix included here is stellar with a few caveats. Clocking in at over 9 minutes, the remix feels a bit outdated and frankly unfinished. After the intro, it goes into an extended repetition of the same beats with virtually no build for 2 minutes. Instead of capitalizing on the awesome riff developed for the track it includes several unnecessary drops.
I took a blunt knife to the whole track and created my mix show version emphasizing its strengths to make it shine while retaining and shortening two of the drops. All the elements of a great mix are there but it was stretched way beyond what's considered reasonable in the age of streaming and waning attention spans.
I've always included tracks from independent labels like Swishcraft (Matt Consola) but have been discovering the awesomeness of other independent labels like Guareber Recordings headed by Nacho Chapado and Ivan Gomez as well as Queen House Music, EPride Music Digital (Edson Pride), and Bearlin Records amongst several others. There's so much unheard goodness being spun out from these mighty labels that are often overlooked that allows me to keep these sets fresh.
Holiday Edition 2019 is the first set where half of the recordings come from these labels. Their output is so great that it's difficult to keep up as I grabbed a few tracks from the summer. Just remember, there isn't anyone rounding these great sounds like Party Favorz. I do the hours of listening and compiling so you don't have to.
I've already compiled the tracklist for the Top Dance Song of 2019, which features the biggest commercial Dance Club tracks of the year, which I should start releasing over the next week and a half.
I hope everybody has a fabulous weekend. Until the next time...ENJOY!

Jingle Electric 2019
Saturday Dec 07, 2019
Saturday Dec 07, 2019
As Party Favorz counts down the days before we enter into the third decade of the Millennium — we continue to deliver the goodie bags to make your holidays more enjoyable or at least bearable.
In keeping with tradition, we're dropping the annual Jingle Electric, which features the biggest Dance Club hits of the moment and some that will be heading into the new year.
For those that caught my teaser on Facebook, which referenced the comeback of disco, let me just say that I may have oversold it but not really. The first true sign of a resurgence is Dua Lipa's massive "Don't Start Now," which is the first mainstream attempt at injecting disco into its formula and it works in spades. DJ Barry Harris predicted a resurgence of disco in a recent post to his Facebook account. He would know because he gets commissioned for a lot of mainstream artist remixes and he's reading the same signs that I am.
"Don't Start Now" had a bevy of remixes commissioned by the label that accompanied its release. Labels do this to guarantee a hit for all tastes and it shows that they're testing the waters. While there are a few really solid Future House remixes of this track, the one that tops every DJ's list is the remix by Purple Disco Machine (featured here). You may remember that Party Favorz was the first to feature a Legacy set of PDM's work in late 2018. Ever since I heard his remix of Hercules & Love Affair's "Do You Feel the Same" in the HBO series "Looking," I was hooked.
Fast forward a year later and PDM is everywhere and in high demand. I'm not saying that this site alone pushed him into the stars but I'd like to think that we (I) had a helping hand in his success.
Additionally, Sam Smith dropped a remake of Donna Summer's techno-disco classic "I Feel Love," which is blowing up just about every dancefloor around the globe — gay and straight. The track is a promotional tool for Target but I wouldn't know because I don't have cable. Honestly, who cares because this song is the fucking bomb! To be fair, lead singer Jimmy Sommerville of Bronski Beat fame got there first as far back as 1983 but we're talking about a 4-decade-old song that was ahead of its time when it was released and is now being reintroduced (I might add very respectfully) to an entirely new generation.
In addition, there are other disco tracks in this set Jax Jones and Years & Years "Play," which is given the PDM treatment as well as the fabulous "I Don't Need Love" by Karen Hardin & Wh0, where Mark Knight and Michael Gray perform the remix duties. Taken in total, expect to be hearing more of this and less Reggaeton, Moonbatan, and likely even Trap as we get into the summer of next year. YOU. HEARD. IT. HEAR. FIRST.
All of my praise for the changing tides in popular and club music shouldn't discourage anyone that's a fan of the current club music landscape. The overall feel of this set is still Future House and club-friendly versions of your favorite pop songs.
We even have some notable remakes like "Silence" by Sylvain Armand, which was a massive hit for Delerium and Sarah McLachlan back in 1999 after DJ Tiesto got his hands on it. We also have "You Gotta Be" by Bombs Away with Reigan, which is a remake of the #5 pop hit by Des'ree from 1994. That track came out in April but got buried by the simultaneous release of "Back To Life" by Hilary Roberts, which went to top the club charts. "You Gotta Be" is only now climbing the charts but as good as it and the accompanying remixes are — it's not clear how well it will do but worthy of inclusion.
Since I can't give a point-by-point review of all the great tracks included in this set (many of which will be featured in our upcoming Top Dance Songs of 2019 multiset series), I'll let everything speak for itself. I will be back next week with our final Circuit Tribal House set of the year — the annual Holiday Edition. Until then...ENJOY!

X-mas Dance Mix 2019 | The Ultimate Christmas Dance Party Mix
Friday Nov 29, 2019
Friday Nov 29, 2019
Welcome to the annual holiday non-stop dance series X-mas Dance for 2019! I spent the better part of Thanksgiving working on this set because dinner wasn't served until 7pm. I had been busy scrounging my DJ service and various SoundCloud accounts to create this year's offering of holiday dance music favorites and really think I hit this one out of the park.
I went back this morning to ensure the integrity of the set and made some minor changes that only I would notice. If I'm happy — then I know y'all will be.
I've got all your favorite tracks that have appeared on various iterations of X-mas Dance over the years and scooped several new entries. I also added a few that only appeared once over the years. I also want to give a HUGE shout-out to our good friends from Mark D and JD Arnold a.k.a. Dirty Disco for sending me an advance copy of this year's entry into the holiday dance music landscape, "Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow" by the fabulous Debby Holiday. I've been begging them to update the Weather Girls classic "Dear Santa (Bring Me A Man This Christmas," but they completely forgot. Mark is all on board and promised to deliver their version next year.
In the interim, I came across this fantastic version by Raquela in my DJ service and ran with it. The vocals are spot on and her version delivers a circuit-friendly re-work that stays true to the original, even if it could use a bit more energy.
Overall, I think this year's X-mas Dance is the best one I've put together to date. From the serious and the solemn to the camp (without being too over the top) — this delivers the cheer to brighten up your holidays.
I've got the rest of December all mapped out and may even try to squeeze in the final Ultimate 80's Dance Mix this next week. Expect a head-spinning succession of new releases (including the highly anticipated Year In Dance and Blow Your Own Horn) by the end of the month.
I want to give a HUGE shout-out to our good friend Glenn A. from the UK for his kind donation. They are always welcome as I'm not exactly getting rich from the subscription service.
Until the next time...ENJOY!
Donate and keep the party going!

For The People | Songs From The Underground
Wednesday Nov 27, 2019
Wednesday Nov 27, 2019
And the music keeps rolling with our final Underground House set of the year. Once again, this newly minted set pulls from a wide variety of genres to keep listeners, ravers and party-goers engaged. From Tech House, Bass House, Trance, Drum and Bass, and everything in between — "For the People" delivers the party and then some.
Things kick off slowly with the Danny Darko and Julien Kelland remake of the Rolling Stones classic "Paint It Black." This is one of the darker tracks in the Stone's catalog (next to "Gimme Shelter") and Danny Darko takes it even darker. There was a remix contest for the original and frankly, all the remixes officially picked for this release were excellent.
"Paint It Black" is followed by NERVO & Skazi's rework of the more recent "Faded" by Zhu — an equally dark track that put Zhu on the map. It's rare that a recent hit song like this gets a remake but this version is better than the original.
From there, things pick up as we move into the warehouse rave party you came here for. There are plenty of twists and turns in this set with much of it mashed to keep things flowing until we get to the next hard break and switch gears.
I enjoy making the Underground House mixes because the music options are limitless and it gives me greater creative control over what to use and decide on the direction I want to take. Not complaining about the other sets I make, which are by far more popular but I enjoy being able to stretch things to their limit.
Here in the United States, everyone is gearing up for Thanksgiving and I hope y'all have an enjoyable holiday with friends and family. I plan on dropping something special for Black Friday to help everyone get in the mood for power shopping, putting up holiday decorations, or just zoning out. Never one to sit on my laurels — Party Favorz is back with our final FunkyDiscoHouseShit set of 2019 and boy is it a winner! Solid Gold Disco is a non-stop disco-lover's wet dream all wrapped up on a golden platter. It takes from a multitude of familiar beats of the 70s, 80s, and 90s and wraps them up in a tight package with a giant bow on top making these tracks as fresh as if they were delivered to your door today. It really doesn't get any better than this.
Now that my workstation is back and better than ever — I've got a lot of ground to cover to ensure I stay on track for what is the busiest time of the year for the podcast. If I were you, I'd pay close attention because I'll be dropping bombs one right after another — enough to keep you in the holiday spirit (clears throat) no matter your genre preference. If you like everything I'm delivering — you're going to be really busy.
I won't be unwrapping your presents before it's time, so think of each release as a new gift from me to you as we count down the 30 days of Christmas. Until the next time...ENJOY!
On a final note — Party Favorz is not averse to receiving gifts either. If you like what I'm delivering and are feeling in the holiday spirit, feel free to buy a cup of coffee. The donation link is now up and active.
This episode has been updated by editing out 31 seconds of the original podcast and fixing one transition. The changes are minor and strictly for those that archive all episodes of Party Favorz.

Prince | Dance Music Sex Romance
Thursday Nov 21, 2019
Thursday Nov 21, 2019
Whether he went by his official name Prince Rogers Nelson, The Artist Formerly Known as Prince, a symbol that represents both the male and female genders or, just The Artist — we all know the man by Prince.
Prince was an American singer, songwriter, musician, record producer, dancer, actor, and filmmaker. He was a prolific writer and recorded so many songs that his fight with Warner Brothers lead them to put the breaks on his releases for fear of oversaturation. He often gave songs away for free under different pseudonyms like "Manic Monday" by the Bangles (Christoper), "Sugar Walls" by Sheena Easton (Alexander Nevermind), "Jungle Love" and "The Bird" by the Time (The Starr ★ Company). Also, his music was covered by other artists — most notably "I Feel For U" by Chaka Khan, "Nothing Compares 2 U" by Sinead O'Connor and even the John Cougar Mellencamp produced "When You Were Mine" by Mitch Ryder among many others.
Prince also produced several acts like the Time (mentioned above), Sheila E (Glamourous Life), and Vanity 6 (Nasty Girl) as well as a host of others.
Ultimately, Prince was one of a dozen artists that provided the soundtrack to the eighties. With musical styles that ranged from Funk, Rock, New Wave, Soul, Psychedelia, and pop, he was considered the quintessential artist in that he drew his inspiration from people like David Bowie, James Brown, Sly & the Family Stone, Jimi Hendrix, George Clinton, Miles Davis among many others and it showed in his music and performances.
In 1985, I was living in Austin, TX, and working as a copy clerk for the Austin American Statesman and part-time for Hastings Records in the mall. We frequently received free tickets to concerts and Bruce Springsteen and Prince were playing weeks apart from each other. I was a fan of both artists but there were only so many tickets to go around so I opted for the Prince tickets. These were for his Purple Rain tour and my best friend Dan and I went to the concert where he put on a 2-hour funk and rock extravaganza as we had never seen. His performance was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and has stuck with me as one of the most memorable I had ever attended.
There is just way too much to cover about this man and his genius that hasn't already been written. The contributions that Prince has made to music, his guitar skills, his songwriting his production, and his everything make him one of the most admired if not influential artists of all time. While most of the tracks in this set stay fairly close to the originals — they are presented in their long form and re-edited for easy DJ mixing along with some notable modern-day remixes by Kue who did an outstanding job modernizing "Controversy" and "Purple Rain" for the dance floor.
It is with much love and admiration for the man known as Prince that Party Favorz finally pays him his due respect with this tribute. RIP my friend.

David Bowie: Let’s Dance [Remixed & Reimagined]
Tuesday Nov 19, 2019
Tuesday Nov 19, 2019
David Robert Jones (8 January 1947—10 January 2016), known professionally as David Bowie, is one of the most influential artists of the 20th century. Fueled by a range of musical styles, Bowie often projected a variety of personalities depending on which project he was working on and where his musical interests lay at the moment. From Glam Rock to Disco and everything in between — he achieved massive success with his art that affected millions of lives with each evolving iteration.
Since his death in 2016, Party Favorz has received many requests to create a Legacy set featuring his work. Given the substantial output and variety of his catalog that goes back to 1969 — it was near impossible to do any justice to the legacy Bowie has left us — until now.
There's no doubt he would have gravitated toward the current electronic movement and even began remixing his work in the early 90s. That being said, with a variety of music styles and the ability to capture the true magic of his work — it is nearly impossible to recreate. Nevertheless, I persisted and pulled off something special for hardcore fans (such as myself) that at the very least extract multiple highlights of his career even if it's not all-encompassing. Frankly, a good portion of his catalog would be near impossible to translate to the dance floor. I have to admit, the Julian Marsh remix of "Space Oddity" and the 7th Heaven remix of "Rebel Rebel" is spectacularly executed, as well as several others.
I cannot deny the emotions that overwhelm me when I listen to his music as it brings back a flood of memories — some good, while others, not so much. It just proves that Bowie's music will stand the test of time.
It is with much love and respect that Party Favorz honors David Bowie with his own tribute to dance music. Some may consider this tribute blasphemy but there's no doubt this would have been his next act. RIP Ziggy.
