Beach House 2019
Saturday Jun 29, 2019
Saturday Jun 29, 2019
As Party Favorz pushes into summer, we're dropping our annual Beach House edition which is a massive bomb just in time for your 4th of July poolside parties and beach mayhem! This set had been finished over a week ago but new tracks just kept rolling in making me compelled to add them. I generally put out this edition around the holiday. The next Funky House set doesn't usually drop until the end of summer so I was trying to be as epic as possible.
EPIC is definitely the word I'd use for this year's Beach House. From Classic House, Piano House, NuDisco, Soulful House, Jackin' House, Deep House, and Tech House this set is packed from top to bottom with a wide variety of genres making it a House Music paradise for lovers of all things funky.
We have finally reached the pinnacle of Pride month with the official World Pride event in New York and San Franciso which happen to be two of the largest gay meccas in the United States. I just want to add that don't feel too comfortable with your gay self. If you're not paying attention, our rights are under assault. I'm not trying to be alarmist but the evangelical wing of the Republican party has a firm grip on the majority of states, the Senate, and the presidency.
You may not think that abortion rights affect you but after that — these pro-birthers will go after contraception and gay marriage. They're already enacting laws in states under the guise of "religious freedom," which is nothing more than a license to discriminate against the LGBTQ community in EVERY facet of life. We're not just talking about employment but housing, medical, public services, and a wide swath of industries that haven't even come on our radar yet. With a solid majority in the SCOTUS, they've already shown a willingness to strike down Constitutional norms like gerrymandering where states get to choose their voters as opposed to voters choosing their representatives. Make no mistake — WE ARE UNDER ASSAULT.
All I ask is that you be mindful of the things going on around you, laws being passed at the state and federal level as well as Individual 1's presidential decrees that often go unnoticed. These things will affect you and your everyday life. Even with all of our disagreements within our own community, let's unite and make these final days of PRIDE count for something more than just celebrating our successes. Stay active, aware, and vigilant.
I have updated the FAQ section of the site for those that need to update their payment information for the subscription service, change their email or password, or even cancel their service. It's all there.
Also, I want to give a HUGE shoutout to Daniel L. and Anthony S. for their generous donations. Even if you have a subscription and want to do a little more for my efforts, the donation link is still available on the website.
I just want to leave everyone with a famous quote from Martin Niemöller during the Holocaust:
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out— because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.
Until the next time...ENJOY!

Catch-Up 2019 | The Biggest Dance Songs of the Year…So Far!
Saturday Jun 22, 2019
Saturday Jun 22, 2019
It's time for the annual Catch-Up! Just in time for the summer season, this series allows you to catch up with the biggest dance club hits of the year. As a bonus, I've thrown in some newer tracks that are just now gaining momentum and will likely soon be everywhere.
Ariana Grande is the clearcut winner for the most hits with "Thank U, Next" carrying over from last year along with "7 Rings," and "Break Up with Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored."
One of the most striking trends I'm seeing is classic-pop remakes. While sampling past hits have been a staple of artists going back to the 90s, remaking full tracks has not. In this set, we have a total of 5 remakes that include: "Self Control" by Kendra Erika (originally a Top 3 hit for Laura Branigan in 1984), Hilary Roberts' "Back To Life" (originally a #1 hit for Soul II Soul featuring Caron Wheeler in 1989), "Fired Up" by Jade Starling (originally a #1 dance club hit for Funky Green Dogs in 1996), "The Rhythm of the Night" by Sean Finn & Corona (originally a #11 pop hit and #1 dance club hit for Corona in 1993 who re-sung the vocals for this release), "I've Been Thinking About You" by Klaas and Londonbeat (originally a #1 pop and dance club hit for Londonbeat in 1989 who re-sung the vocals for this release), "Bittersweet Symphony" by Gamper & Dadoni featuring Emily Roberts (originally a #1 pop and alternative hit in 1997), and "Jump" by Van Halen and Armin Van Buuren (originally a #1 pop and rock hit in 1984). The one that did not make the cut is "You Gotta Be" by Bombs Away featuring Reigan, which was originally a #5 hit for Des'ree in 1995 but didn't quite capture the essence of the original.
This is quite a grab bag of influences artists are delving into as they represent a wide variety of genres. At the end of the day, a great song is still a great song.
I realize this set has been a long time coming but it's finally here and there is enough to fuel your parties through July before I start dropping some new dance club on you. I'm currently wrapping up the annual installment of Beach House and will start working on the next Underground House set shortly. As you can see, there's plenty in the works.
Until the next time...ENJOY!

Dirty Disco Pride Legacy
Saturday Jun 15, 2019
Saturday Jun 15, 2019
Dirty Disco, the sizzling production duo of DJs Mark De Lange and JD Arnold, is currently setting the dance music scene ablaze. Based out of Houston, Texas, where De Lange owns popular venues like Bayou City Bar and the Eagle, these guys are not just making music; they're field-testing it in real-time in their own establishments.
With roots in the club scene stretching back to the late '70s and early '80s, Dirty Disco brings a rich tapestry of musical history to their remixes and productions. This wealth of experience enables them to craft compelling soundscapes that reverberate through LGBTQ+ venues and mainstream clubs alike. In this respect, they share a creative echelon with established artists like Barry Harris and Matt Consola, who have also been driving feet to the dance floor for years.
Having engaged with Mark personally, I can vouch for his genuine passion for dance music—a passion that aligns closely with our own here at Party Favorz. That depth of understanding, coupled with hands-on experience, makes Dirty Disco a formidable force in modern dance music, capable of producing genre-spanning hits. Their work weaves through Circuit Anthems, House, Disco, and Progressive genres, offering a kaleidoscopic auditory experience.
Compiling this tribute set was no easy task. Despite having to trim down their extensive catalog to maintain a focused vibe, the final set is a sprawling four-hour odyssey. It's an uncut journey that showcases Dirty Disco's range and talent, featuring everything from fresh originals to rejuvenated classics and anthems.
So as you celebrate PRIDE—please, make safety a priority—let this legacy-defining set from Dirty Disco fuel your joy and your dance moves.
Until the next time...ENJOY!

Toy Armada & DJ Grind PRIDE Legacy Volume 2
Tuesday Jun 11, 2019
Tuesday Jun 11, 2019
If you're in the mood for something that not only moves your body but also stirs your soul, look no further than Party Favorz's Volume 2 of the Toy Armada & DJ Grind Pride Legacy Edition. This set is a treasure trove of anthems, masterfully reimagined by the powerhouse duo, Toy Armada & DJ Grind, into uplifting, big-room circuit bangers that celebrate the vibrant gay life.
Take Demi Lovato's "Really Don't Care," for example. The original is a pop anthem in its own right, but Toy Armada & DJ Grind transform it into a euphoric ride that becomes an instant Pride classic. The same can be said for Sia's "Alive." Originally a heart-wrenching ballad, it metamorphoses under their hands into a soaring, electrifying crowd-pleaser.
Let's not overlook their rework of Lady Gaga's iconic "Born This Way." The duo ramps up the empowerment factor with a tribal beat infusion, making it an inarguable call to arms for self-expression. The pair also turn their creative genius towards the Ben E. King classic, "Stand by Me," featuring a club mix from Joe Gauthreaux that encapsulates the very essence of unwielding friendship, partnership and unity.
Madonna's "Get Together" is another example that reflects Toy Armada & DJ Grind's knack for maintaining the original's essence while tailoring it for a big-room atmosphere. Likewise, Ariana Grande's "No Tears Left To Cry" gets an invigorating facelift, turning the original's pop subtlety into an anthem of resilience and triumph.
And, of course, we cannot skip over their monumental tribute to the disco queen, Donna Summer. Their tribal tribute mix of "Last Dance," "I Feel Love," and "Bad Girls" is nothing short of a masterstroke that elevates the tracks to new spiritual highs.
So go ahead, dive into this rich tapestry of reimagined hits courtesy of Toy Armada & DJ Grind, and let the music elevate your spirit as only they can do. Until the next time...ENJOY!

Toy Armada & DJ Grind Legacy Edition Volume 1
Sunday Jun 09, 2019
Sunday Jun 09, 2019
For more than a decade, Toy Armada and DJ Grind have been shaping the soundtracks of LGBTQ+ dance floors, especially at circuit events. Their influence pays homage to the golden age of dance music, dating back to the late '90s and early 2000s—an era dominated by legends like Hex Hector, Thunderpuss, Victor Calderone, and Peter Rauhofer. Even so, Toy Armada and DJ Grind have managed to create their own unique space, taking the musical torch from trailblazers like Thunderpuss and updating it for today's LGBTQ+ dance community.
The creative chemistry between Toy Armada and DJ Grind ignited almost immediately, starting with a simple email request to collaborate on a remix of Kimberley Locke's "Feel the Love." This initial partnership became a smashing success, soaring to the top of the UK charts and laying the foundation for an enduring and highly fruitful collaboration. Both artists bring something distinct to their combined efforts: Toy Armada was already a recognized talent before teaming up with DJ Grind, and his solo work complements and enriches their shared musical identity.
In our Legacy series, Party Favorz delves into the mesmerizing talents of this dynamic duo. We aim to capture the uplifting spirit and sheer joy that their music brings to audiences—a gift to the LGBTQ+ community that goes beyond mere amusement. They have skillfully transformed this uplifting energy into remixes that provide the backdrop for some of the most unforgettable moments on the dance floor, creating a nearly transcendental experience for their fans.
In an increasingly divided world, the work of Toy Armada and DJ Grind stands as a compelling example of music's power to unite and elevate us all. Their music acts as a celebration of gay pride in its own right, offering an auditory journey that embodies the values of inclusivity, love, and the pure thrill of being alive and dancing in a crowd.
Party Favorz celebrates Toy Armada and DJ Grind for their monumental contributions to the world of dance music. Their work serves as a beacon of happiness and unity, imbuing our lives with the unique joy that comes from dancing in a crowd of people who share your rhythm and soul. We eagerly anticipate what the next chapter will bring for this incredible partnership.
Until the next time...ENJOY!

Modern Gay Anthems — Gay Anthems for a New Generation 2019
Friday Jun 07, 2019
Friday Jun 07, 2019
Party Favorz is dropping the most eagerly anticipated release of the entire year — the 2019 edition of Gay Anthems for a New Generation featuring modern gay anthems of our Gay Pride classics past!
For the uninitiated, this annual series features some of the most iconic gay anthems from decades past that has been reworked for today's club music scene. From Whitney Houston's "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" to Gloria Gaynor's eponymous 1979 disco empowerment hit "I Will Survive," and everything in between — these songs are not only instantly recognizable but stand the test of time.
I managed to throw in some personal favorite house classics that have been reworked as well as current hits to keep the whole set fresh and timely.
When I started this series in 2016, I wasn't sure how it was going to be received. After all, the originals (which can all be found in various compilations under the Gay Anthems sub-heading) are what folks fondly remember. However, Party Favorz demographics range from 18 - 60 years old (if you can believe it). Taking something old and making it new again is where it's at and the reception to this series has been nothing short of phenomenal.
I've had to reshuffle my release schedule because I'm still waiting on a hot-off-the-presses release from one of our favorite production duos. This is a song that's never been done before but everybody knows oh so well. You can expect a couple of Pride Legacy series to drop sometime next week once I get the track in my greasy palms.
I want to dedicate this set to Bishop Tobin @ThomasJTobin1, Franklin Graham @Franklin_Graham, Pastor Greg Locke @pastorlocke, and Father Kevin M. Cusick @MCITLFrAphorism who if it weren't for their tireless dedication to suppressing my life and voice while covering up the abuses I suffered as an altar boy — I wouldn't be here today denouncing the closeted, self-hating assholes they are.
Until next week...ENJOY!

Gay Pride 2019 Volume 2
Thursday May 30, 2019
Thursday May 30, 2019
Party Favorz is back with volume 2 of the annual Gay Pride 2019. This set is a whopper and kicks ass from start to finish. I've packed in all the latest circuit hits along with classic re-works that will keep your heart pounding and the party going.
I'm happy to see that many of you have been signing up for the premium content for the website. I want to address a few things because a couple of you have had some problems.
First, you DO NOT have to stream or download from the Podbean website for Party Favorz. That URL is
and frankly, it's not fully configurable like https://partyfavorz.com to sort and find what you're looking for. You can still use the main website to enjoy your favorite music. I've tested this out myself and it works just fine. When you click "play" or "download," it asks for your username and password. Once you're logged in, you won't have any issues. You shouldn't have to log in again unless you leave the website for an hour or longer. If you're using a smartphone, the Podbean app is excellent and also has most of your favorite podcasts as well. If you're not using the app, their website doesn't offer the kind of experience you're used to — I recommend using the main website.
Someone asked about casting the music to their Bluetooth soundbar. I do it all the time. You can download the episode to your smartphone or computer and cast it from there. You don't need a button on my website to do it for you. One caveat is that if you're using your laptop or desktop to cast, it must have Bluetooth capability. If not, you can cast to your TV via wi-fi though it won't sound all that great. It's not my job to provide instructions on how to do this. Every phone and computer is different. Try Googling your device on how to set that up.
Podbean tracks usage and to prevent users from sharing their login credentials, it may restrict access from multiple locations. That's not me — that's them. If you've been locked out, send a support request via the contact link located at the bottom of the website. Make sure you provide the username (i.e., email address) you use to log into your account. I can send it to Podbean support to have them fix it.
Frankly, from what I've seen so far — these are user errors or confusion over whether you can still use the main website. In this day and age of cheap storage solutions for your media, I'm shocked that many of you still rely on streaming from the website without downloading them first. This is something that all the major streaming platforms allow you to do so you don't suck up a lot of bandwidth and run up against your data usage from your internet or mobile provider. If you want to ensure that your favorite episodes are always there at your fingertips, I highly recommend downloading the episode and backing it up to an external device or in the cloud for easier access. Then again, that's just me so do whatever is easiest for you.
I'll do my best to support any issue you may have but I have to limit it to basic things like logging in and out. There are certain things of a technical nature that you're going to have to get outside help for or look up yourself. Sorry, but I clear 60¢ per subscription. Any support beyond the confines of the actual podcast is unrealistic.
That's it for this week. I've started compiling tracks for the annual Catch-Up for 2019. For those new around here, the Catch-Up features the biggest dance-club hits of the year along with some newer ones that are expected to track well into the summer. I'll be back next week with that set before we go full throttle into Pride. Until then...ENJOY!

With Gay Pride 2019 coming up, it's time for Party Favorz to drop the bomb of all bombs with the queerest of the queer circuit tribal house music sets to kick off Gay Pride month! "I'm talking about bodies movin', non-stop groovin', asses shakin', floors are breakin', queens are freakin', hoes are creepin', divas flowing, everybody knows it's time to stand up and put your hands to the sky!"
I busted my ass off putting these two sets together. Frankly, these were some of the hardest sets to pull off I've encountered in a long time. Dirty Disco and several others are starting to get creative with their breakdowns forcing me to have to think outside the box to make this stuff work. This was an issue I've been dealing with for several years now in the Dance-Club category but now it appears to be showing up in the Circuit Tribal House tracks as well.
One noticeable difference Dirty Disco is taking is that they are bringing back the massive remixes that were the staple of the late 90s going into the early millennium. You'll hear more of this in volume 2. It's a welcome change as it gives these songs more room to breathe with a nice breakdown (sometimes two) to keep things interesting. I am really excited about the direction they've been taking as they've begun to really mix it up.
This set has brand-spanking new mixes from Madonna, Kylie, and P!nk with classic updates by Black Blox (featuring the fabulous Loleatta Holloway), Ce Ce Peniston, Robyn, Britney Spears plus a couple of blazing house and disco numbers to close it out. If this set doesn't take your breath away then volume 2 certainly will. Both have been road-tested and even I was impressed at how damn good they are.
Because Gay Pride 2019 is rapidly approaching, I plan on dropping volume 2 tomorrow to give everyone time to download, digest, and workout to many of the songs they'll be dancing to over the celebratory weekend.
Until then...ENJOY!

David Guetta — A Musical Journey: Legacy Series Volume 1

Pierre David Guetta born 7 November 1967) is a French DJ, music programmer, record producer, and songwriter. He has sold over nine million albums and thirty million singles worldwide.[2] In 2011, Guetta was voted as the number one DJ in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll.[3] In 2013, Billboard crowned "When Love Takes Over" with Kelly Rowland as the number-one dance-pop collaboration of all time.[4]
David Guetta had already been involved in the club scene since 1984 - 2000. However, it wasn't until he and partner Joachim Garraud collaborated with the American Gospel singer Chris Willis for a series of songs including their first single "Just a Little More Love." That collaboration spawned several more releases and the eventual compilation of F*ck Me I'm Famous. in 2003.
In 2004, their collaborations continued with the release of Guetta Blaster. After releasing four semi-successful singles it was a mashup of "Just a Little More Love" and the Tocadisco remix of The Egg's "Walking Away" titled "Love Don't Let Me Go (Walking Away)" that blew up the global dance floors. The rest they say is history.
We all know the name David Guetta as one of the most successful DJs, producers, and songwriters of the early millennium. His superstar status skyrocketed with the massively successful "When Love Takes Over" with Kelly Rowland and later "Titanium" with Sia.

As the dance music world evolved, so did his style. He went from Electro-House to EDM and now Future House, Reggaeton, and whatever the current trend in dance music takes him. David Guetta is still in high demand and often releases tracks under his pseudonym Jack Black. He just had a number-one Billboard Dance Club hit with "Put Your Phone Down (Low)" not to mention the wildly successful "Wild Ones" with Nicky Romero and Sia.
You could say that David Guetta paved the way for other superstar DJs like Avicii, Calvin Harris, Marshmello, and The Chainsmokers by elevating these folks not just from being a DJ or dance party promoters but to multi-talented artists in their own right.
It's with great love and respect for the man and his music that Party Favorz recognizes the very talented David Guetta with an induction into our Legacy series. There are a lot of memories built into this set and I fully expect a lot of you to fall back on your heels when you hear a lot of these older tracks again. 10 years ago was not that far back but many of these songs are now considered classics.
Because his output is so extensive, I attempted to culminate some of his early work with the majority of his biggest hits, which ultimately span two sets. Expect volume 2 to drop tomorrow. Until then...ENJOY!

Maroon 5: Celebrating Their Dance Music Contributions in Our Legacy Series
Saturday May 11, 2019
Saturday May 11, 2019
Meet Maroon 5, a pop-rock powerhouse led by frontman Adam Levine. Formed in 2001, the band quickly made a name for itself with its genre-defying hits and radio-friendly anthems. Comprising talented musicians across the board, Maroon 5 has continuously adapted to stay at the forefront of the music scene.
Maroon 5 made a powerful debut in 2002 with their rock track "Harder To Breathe," only to transition swiftly into softer rock hits like "This Love" and "She Will Be Loved." This versatility made them difficult to categorize but showcased their knack for creating radio-friendly hits. Though their next album featured the chart-topping "Makes Me Wonder," other singles didn't fare as well on the charts.
The real game-changer came with their third album's release, particularly the single "Moves Like Jagger." A remix featuring Christina Aguilera—Adam Levine's fellow judge on the hit show "The Voice"—catapulted the song to massive radio success, making it the biggest hit of the year. Maroon 5 continued to hone their craft, collaborating with prominent Hip Hop artists and embracing the zeitgeist, all while maintaining their pop-rock essence.

Their most significant impact may be on the dance music community. Many of their hits seamlessly transition to the dance floor, resulting in a plethora of official remixes, bootlegs, and samples. Thanks to their broad appeal and Adam Levine's high-profile presence on "The Voice," Maroon 5 has solidified their standing not just in popular music but on dance floors worldwide.
Yes, we did feature a sultry photo of Adam from a charity shoot, but let's be clear: Maroon 5's allure isn't solely about their frontman. It's the collective talent of the band as seasoned musicians and pop-rock virtuosos that steals the show. Adam is just the cherry on top.
For all these reasons, Party Favorz proudly celebrates Maroon 5's contributions to dance music through our esteemed Legacy series.
