Say what? Another house music set? Hey folks, if you haven't been paying attention since last year, this is the direction that a lot of the EDM mainstream has been heading; so it only makes sense that there would be more of these sets than my traditional electro-house sets. Even those, like last week's Ripe and Juicy had many elements of the deep bass sound that's prevalent in the current dance music scene.
To prove my point, go back and read what I wrote in last year's The Best in House 2015, as I had predicted the heavy influence of that sound seeping into the mainstream. Eventually, it will correct itself as I am already beginning to hear some 80s influences which are coming across as pretty relevant today. Think of it like a washing machine with all the different colors and fabrics being thrown into together. What you get when it comes out are colors that bleed into others creating a whole new look for your favorite t-shirt, which is pretty cool. Then others begin to fade or tear creating a whole new category of clothing that's still wearable while presenting a whole new image.
With all that being said, I really just wanted to clear my hard drive so I can make room for the latest rounds of EDM, Circuit, and House music sets. With all that I've got going on, I'm gonna lay things out for everybody. You can expect the annual Jingle Electric (EDM) and Holiday Edition (Sexy Santa's for the circuit boys) and one final House music set before the end of the year. BackSpins, Divas, Tributes, etc. are all taking a backseat for the remainder of the year.
I'm also sorry to announce what looks like the demise of the Year-End Edition (Time Capsule) as I don't see myself having the amount of time that's needed to complete it. I may be wrong but the way things are going for me at break-neck speed with the job I didn't intend to keep because I was expecting to hear back from the government job I had applied for, it turns out I may continue working for a company that I really enjoy who are recognizing the talent I'm bringing to the table and if things keep going in their current trajectory, I could very well be sitting on top for the first time in a long time. Nothing's written stone yet so I'll just have to wait and see; I'll know for certain next week.
I can pretty much guarantee the release of the wildly popular Blow Your own Horn all-night party set that I've put out the past couple of years for compensation.
For now, just sit back and take in the sounds of house music. Enjoy!

I'm finally getting my bearings at work. At 12 hours a day, 6 days a week I've decided to reconstruct my free time in a way that will allow me to spend at least some time doing the one thing I truly love ...PARTY FAVORZ. Those that have followed me like forever and a year know that I am truly devoted to this site and that every time I try to throw my hat in the ring and walk away due to circumstances in my life; one way or another I get roped back in. This time around, I ain't giving it up but will have to make some adjustments to make things work.
That doesn't mean I'll be posting at my usual break-neck speed but it does mean I'm in it for the long-haul or at least until one of our favorite divas dies or decides to call it quits then I'll take my cue to gracefully exit this space.
For now, I've got the second part to Decompression, which these days is exactly what the doctor prescribed; that and some bed rest but those two don't necessarily go hand in hand, so I'd stick with the music LOL.
No point in making predictions on what's going up next (though I've got a semi-map for the rest of the year) so you'll just have to keep following to see if your favorite genre pops up in the next few weeks. Until then ...ENJOY!

I've been pretty much drowning at work at here at home. I've got a cat that keeps throwing up all over the place, an apartment that's a complete disaster (beyond anything I prefer to live in) and sliding patio door that doesn't securely close with an un-responsive complex that either can't or won't fix their shit and a neighbor that just backed into my car, then proceeded to give me his health insurance card instead of car insurance. I've been sicker than anything I've experienced in ages (I rarely if ever get sick) then took half a day off yesterday and slept from 4 - 4. I've got 10+ hours a day of work starting tomorrow through Friday and frankly don't have much time to devote to this site much-less myself. So, please bear with me while I try to manage my life and attempt to get everything prioritized; I'm just a bit overwhelmed at the moment. Please don't send any emails or requests as I'm getting well over two-weeks sitting in my inbox that I haven't even looked at yet.
That said, here is the latest funky house set I promised last week and I've got another set for next Saturday. I haven't even started nor looked at the songs for EDM and don't know when I'll get around to it. All I ask is patience while I sort these things out.
At least I can guarantee one more next week. Until then ...enjoy.

Fall Edition 2K15 pt. 2 | The Biggest Circuit Beats for Fall 2015
Saturday Oct 03, 2015
Saturday Oct 03, 2015
After staying up until 3 AM studying last night, I finally managed to roll my happy-ass out of bed where I promptly inserted a catheter in my arm and began my morning coffee infusion. Now that I'm feeling slightly human, I thought I'd go ahead and get part 2 of the 2015 Fall Edition posted.
I've been monitoring the Top Posts on the site every day and I see some folks have been slamming my circuit sets pretty hard. In particular, this year's Spring Edition has been consistently sitting at or near the top of the list. I'm not so sure what's so special about that set (though they are all special to me) but hey, knock your socks off.
I also dug into Google Analytics to get more insight about my traffic (which has jumped up pretty significantly in the last couple of months) and saw that our good friends in Russia are back at it again. You know the folks that create these bullshit websites full of T&A ads for porn that surround links to illegal downloads. Apparently, they think Party Favorz is some sort of professional paid service so they download my shit and then re-post the mixes to some unsuspecting tool who doesn't know they can come here without the pop-ups, spam, adware, and viruses infecting your computer, but I'll digress.
I had mentioned last week that I had enough solid tunes for about three or four sets but was only going to create two. However, when I went back and re-visited a lot of the songs that had been axed from the sets, I realized what a monumental mistake that would be. So, I scrapped the entire part 2 set and started over incorporating many of the songs that would not have been included otherwise. With the number of hours I've been putting in at work, I would sneak some mixing in the morning, some later at night, here, there and during any downtime, I had to get this puppy pushed out. I'm glad I did because this thing is SLAMMING! If you liked the first set, TRUST when I say you're gonna love this one!
Believe it or not, I've already got two new funky-house sets completed and stamped with my approval, and ready to go. In fact, I got those done a few weeks ago but got side-tracked with the Fall Edition. I'll start rolling those out next week, so it will probably be a few weeks before I bring in the latest EDM sets.
As hard is it is to hold back, I've made the decision to just drop one set a week to kind of give ya'll (and myself) some breathing room as opposed to dumping two or three sets a week. Realistically, that's just not going to happen anymore. I'm putting in about 60 hours a week at work and the fact I still manage to find the time to indulge myself on this site is pretty remarkable.
I also want to give a HUGE thanks to those of you who pro-actively sent a little cash my way, it's always appreciated!
It's been pretty soggy here for the last couple of weeks with no signs of letting up. I hope it's better wherever you're at. Have a great weekend and as always ...ENJOY!

Fall Edition 2K15 pt. 1 | The Biggest Circuit Beats for Fall 2015
Saturday Sep 26, 2015
Saturday Sep 26, 2015
Happy Saturday! I'm back after an extended break from the site with this year's Fall Edition. Anyone that's followed Party Favorz for any number of years knows that means HOT cowboys. Frankly, I'm not certain why I got hooked on the cowboy theme and tied it to my annual Fall series, but it works.
This is a two-part set so the first one relies heavily on progressive beats with a smattering of tribal, while part 2 is opposite of that. To be honest, I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed plying through all this new music. I had enough here for at least three possibly four solid sets but that's overkill. Maybe I can recycle some of the songs I didn't pick up for my next circuit set; we'll see.
I'm at the point where I'm tagging and deciding the track list for the next EDM and Funky House set(s). I'm taking things slow because I got a lot going on around me and I don't see it letting up anytime soon.
So for now, dig into this latest circuit set and have a great weekend.

Chaka Khan | The Diva Series
Thursday Aug 20, 2015
Thursday Aug 20, 2015
When I was working on the third volume of the Year-End Edition 1997, my memory was jogged about one of the divas on my list that I had not gotten around to inducting. Yes, there is a short list of ladies (Patti Labelle, Aretha Franklin, etc.) that totally must be included in the Diva Hall of Fame but due to the complexities in putting their tributes together, I haven't taken a stab at it yet. Chaka Khan was one such person.
As I listened to the awesomeness of Chaka's #1 club-dance hit Never Miss The Water with Me’Shell Ndegéocello, I knew it was time to get to work.
Miss Khan's career spans over four decades, starting as lead vocalist for the R&B Funk outfit Rufus. They generated several top 40 and #1 R&B hits like the Stevie Wonder penned Tell Me Something Good, Sweet Love (later covered by Mary J. Blige and a personal favorite), At Midnight (My Love Will Lift You Up), and Do You Love What You Feel.
By 1978, Chaka (in true diva fashion) had rocky relationships with many members of Rufus and signed a solo deal with Warner Brothers. Her debut album included the top twenty songs I'm Every Woman (later covered by Whitney Houston). From there, she released multiple albums with mild success but in 1983 joined forces with Rufus one more time for the album Stompin' at the Savoy - Live, which included the studio track Ain't Nobody. That song was Rufus' final top twenty hit and has been a staple in Chaka's repertoire ever since.
The following year, she released the album I Feel For You. The title track penned by Prince, enjoyed massive global success fueling the album's platinum status.
In 1986, she joined forces with Steve Winwood for his massive comeback on the single Higher Love.
Chaka Khan continues to release new material and performs regularly. Her voice, beauty, and skills have earned her massive success as well as well-deserved critical acclaim. It's for these reasons and more that Party Favorz is honored to induct the fabulous Chaka Khan into the Diva Hall of Fame. XO

BITCH …I’m Madonna Volumes 1 & 2: A Birthday Tribute to a Dance Music Icon
Friday Jul 31, 2015
Friday Jul 31, 2015
As Madonna's birthday month unfolds, her fandom stretches from New York to London, Paris, and Ibiza, celebrating the icon in all her glory. Keeping up with the time-honored tradition of Party Favorz, we've compiled a vibrant mix to commemorate the occasion: BITCH ...I'm Madonna Volumes 1 & 2. Initially split into two separate episodes, the volumes have now been fused into one powerhouse podcast, creating a pulsating tribute that traverses Madonna's storied discography.
The Lure of Bootlegs
Every year, the crop of bootleg remixes of Madonna's vast catalog seems to multiply, revealing new perspectives on classic and current hits alike. These bootlegs serve as the foundation of BITCH ...I'm Madonna Volumes 1 & 2, enabling DJs to sift through Madonna's iconic work and lend it a fresh sound. The surprise factor? The abundance of bootlegs derived from Madonna's most recent albums, including the celebrated "Rebel Heart."
A Nod to Recent Releases
While this set honors Madonna's illustrious career, it leans heavily on her last four studio albums: MDNA, Hard Candy, Rebel Heart, and Confessions On a Dance Floor. One notable standout is "Wash All Over Me," remixed by DJ FmSteff, which adds an air of contemplative introspection to the upbeat playlist. Then there's "Holy Water," given a new life by Max & Sebh, transforming it into an almost ethereal dance anthem.
The 90s and Beyond
Alongside the most current bootlegs, BITCH ...I'm Madonna Volumes 1 & 2 skillfully weaves in gems from the '90s, striking a balance between past and present. Take "Erotica," for instance, masterfully remixed by Division 4; it injects a modern groove into the provocative original, showcasing Madonna's boundary-pushing artistry. Similarly, "Frozen," given an atmospheric overhaul by The TWIX Remix, lends a mesmerizing icy touch to the playlist. Both tracks act as timeless interludes, effectively connecting Madonna's historical musical influence with the modern flavors of today, all while ushering her legacy into the ears of a new generation of dance aficionados.
The Global DJ Community
The DJs who contribute to this tribute range from emerging talent to seasoned pros, each bringing their own flavor to the table. "Ghosttown," refashioned by Victor Dinaire & Bissen, and "Turn Up The Radio," reimagined by Bit Error, serve as prime examples. These remixes are not merely adjustments but creative reinterpretations that capture the essence of what makes Madonna a perennial favorite in the dance music world.
The Collective Experience
BITCH ...I'm Madonna Volumes 1 & 2 is more than a collection; it's an experience. Whether it's "Girl Gone Wild" remodeled by Offer Nissim or "Living For Love" given a fresh spin by Taj x JRMX, the playlist showcases the collective creativity of DJs who take Madonna's original artistry to uncharted territories. And, just like the icon herself, this mix never stops evolving, continually embracing change while staying rooted in its origins.
So there you have it—a set list so meticulously crafted that you'd be hard-pressed not to get lost in its aural tapestry. BITCH ...I'm Madonna Volumes 1 & 2 offers an exuberant homage to an artist who has forever changed the landscape of dance music. It's a musical feast that promises to impress even the most ardent Madonna aficionado.
Until the next time... ENJOY!

Cyndi Lauper | The Diva Series
Saturday Jul 25, 2015
Saturday Jul 25, 2015
I get requests to create a Diva Series from this person and that one all the time. Even if I don't respond to the individual, it's always in the back of my mind for future consideration. Cyndi Lauper is one such request from years ago. At the time, I didn't believe there were enough songs to do something credible for her. Boy was I wrong!
The majority of these songs are official and to add insult to injury, I already had them in my massive collection and didn't even realize it.
We all know Cyndi Lauper as the cute bubbly New Yorker with a cool accent and a bigger-than-life voice when she opens her mouth to sing. Cyndi Lauper is also an ally of the gay community and helps run The True Colors Fund, which tirelessly works to end LGBT homelessness.
The gay community fully supports Cyndi Lauper, her work as a singer, actress, and activist. It's for all these things and more that Party Favorz (finally) officially inducts Miss Lauper into the Diva Hall of Fame. We have nothing but love for you. ENJOY!

We've come to the grand finale, the closing chapter in our monumental tribute to dance music legend Hex Hector. Curating this sprawling 8-volume series was a Herculean task, not just because of the sheer volume of Hector's work, but because of the collaborative genius that often powered it. One collaborator who can't be ignored is Mac Quayle.
Mac Quayle, a Grammy-nominated multi-instrumentalist and now a prolific Hollywood score composer, has been an invaluable creative partner to Hex Hector. They've churned out some unforgettable mixes together, shaping the very fabric of the dance floor anthems we adore. From Gloria Estefan's "Don't Let This Moment End" to Toni Braxton's "Hit The Freeway," their collaborative essence can be felt. Kudos, Mac Quayle, your contribution is immeasurable.
Even as we reach the pinnacle of this series with volume 8, it's crucial to note that what you've heard barely scratches the surface of Hex Hector's prolific career. This set features everything from Billboard chart-toppers to lesser-known gems like the Whigfield classic Saturday Night a collaboration with Darrin Friedman or Wake Up by legendary gospel singer Dawn Tallman.
As we approach the end, brace yourselves for two mega-hits that have left an indelible mark on the dance music landscape: Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You" and Celine Dion's "I Drove All Night." These tracks aren't just colossal; they're era-defining, testaments to Hector's undeniable impact on the industry.
If you've followed along and still feel something's missing—well, consider that an invitation. Dive into Hex Hector's extensive discography and craft your own tribute mix. With a catalog as expansive as Hector's during his peak, trust us, there's plenty to discover.
Until the next time...ENJOY!
