Party Favorz is kicking 2016 off with a couple of fresh sets featuring some of the HOTTEST FunkyDiscoHouseShit circulating the scene at the moment. This first set showcases a wide variety of sub-genres in house music that seamlessly blend one style to the next while keeping your toes tapping and ass shaking. Each hand-picked track is AAA rated and contains absolutely 0% filler.
I want to give a HUGE shout out to the gracious Sanny X, who not only recently graced us with the awesome tribute set to one of my all-time favorite artists (David Bowie) but has just dropped a spectacular re-work of the disco classic Dance Little Lady Dance by Tina Charles.  As an ardent lover of all things disco, I've never given a whole lot of consideration to this song as anything more than a major label (Columbia/Sony) trying to capitalize on a trend. However, Sanny X strips all of the instrumentation from the original and lays down a really deep Nile Rogers inspired groove behind the track, which truly makes the original shine while showcasing Tina's amazing vocals and presenting the song in a whole new light.

We have finally reached the pinnacle of 2015; a time where I throw together the ultimate New Year's dance party mix called Blow Your Own Horn.  It's not only about creating a massive dance party set that sets the mood for the year-end festivities but also a celebration of creativity and diversity. Don't follow the pied-piper, rather set your own path and follow your instincts.  In other words, forget about what other people think, just be you.
I grabbed from some of the biggest dance tunes of the year and in many cases tested out versions of those songs that haven't been included in any previous sets then dispersed it with a handful of brand-spanking new tunes you're gonna love.  This set was completed in one take and the only editing I made was removing three songs from the original that I thought killed the flow.  Warts and all, this set is raw and hard and was made to P-A-R-T-Y.

Top Dance Songs of 2015 Volume 5

As we round off with the 5th and final volume of the Top Dance Songs of 2015, I find myself reflecting on the year gone by, a year of mixed impressions in the dance music scene.
Looking back, 2014 was a year of transition where new forms of house music emerged from the underground and seized the mainstream. Yet, 2015 was seemingly a year of complacency where artists and producers seemed content to ride the wave of popularity rather than pushing the boundaries of their sound.
That's not to say that 2015 was without its highlights. Among the Top Dance Songs of 2015, one standout track was "Uptown Funk" by Mark Ronson & Bruno Mars. Released late in the previous year, this track brought back nostalgic sounds reminiscent of The Time, proteges of Prince, with a James Brown-inspired vibe. Its immense popularity defied all expectations, proving that artists can step away from the house music trend of the moment and strike gold by betting on something they genuinely believe in.
The final volume of the Top Dance Songs of 2015 focuses on the best house music of the year, interspersed with a sprinkle of other genres. If your favorite songs are missing from these five sets, don't worry. They might just appear in the upcoming New Year's Dance Party mix 'Blow Your Own Horn.' This year-end party mix, introduced a couple of years ago, has received an incredibly massive response and has since become a staple in the Party Favorz arsenal. In fact, last year's mix is currently topping the Party Favorz charts.
The song selection for this mix is already decided, and I'll soon start working on it. Aimed for release mid-week, it'll be out in plenty of time for your New Year's celebrations.

Les from Static Sessions, who is one of Party Favorz longtime followers sent me his Christmas dance remix yesterday and I was so impressed, I got his permission to post it to the site.

Holiday Edition 2015 Volume 2 | Hot Circuit Tribal Beats!

I've been working a staggering amount of hours just to keep my head above water and have come to the conclusion that we live in a society of entitlement.  I'm not talking about government assistance or a hand-up, but in the most minute things like a package not being delivered on time.  It's like, OMFG my world is going to come to an end and this is unacceptable, what are you going to do for me? I demand you GIVE me something because my package isn't here yet.  I demand to speak to a supervisor and they better have my order here today!  Juxtapose this with a guy in one state trying to scrape together enough money to send his daughter in another state a coloring book and little toy for Christmas, totaling about $20; except that his pre-paid card didn't have enough money on it to cover the cost but for one of the gifts, and you begin to realize just how out of balance the realities of our world is.
Couple this with the recent tragedies in Paris and San Bernardino, CA, and the apparent lack of appreciation for life that devoutly religious people believe is a gift from (their) god, but who then mow down innocent people to support some seriously flawed (fucked-up) philosophy that they are trying to impose on everyone else, I find myself wondering why I preserve so much faith in humankind and the ability of others to show compassion, understanding or just goodwill towards others.  I know it's there because I've witnessed it and have been the recipient of it.  Certainly, I have experienced the kindness and appreciation from you folks that have continued to follow Party Favorz all these years and for that, I am grateful.  After all, this is just a hobby that keeps me preoccupied and out of trouble but I enjoy doing it.  If someone else appreciates what I'm sharing, then even better.
As we move closer to the end of 2015, try to think about the people and things in this life that matter to you and then provide equal consideration to those folks who are just faces that you run into at the mall, or work or wherever you find yourself in the company of others who you may not know.  Agree to disagree but try to find common ground and realize that we are all different while one in the same.
I didn't mean for this post to sound preachy, but recent events have presented themselves to me lately that got me thinking about life, my purpose and role in this world and what it is I can contribute (no matter how big or small) to make the world a better place.  When someone does something for you, once again no matter how big or small, pass it on.  Not only have you helped someone but you've contributed to making the world a better place to live.

Jingle Electric 2015 pt. 2 | MASSIVE EDM BANGERS!

Well, pardon my French and  jingle my bells but it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas (or at least my recent cover art suggests that it is).
Originally, I had created two covers for Jingle Electric 2015 but then quickly realized, I only had enough solid tunes for one set.  Since the initial release, several worthy songs trickled in and I decided to go big this time.  When I say big, I mean really BIG.  Yup, it's been awhile since I put together a roof-raising big room set, so here it is.  I just flipped the narrative of my commercial electro-house sets with a few big-room bangers, to predominantly big room sound stitched together with a few reliable commercial tunes.  Not to worry, I didn't delve into an entire set of stadium craziness, which has no use in a club or your player other than a large festival.  Instead, I walked the line straddling between the two.
Enough of this crap, listen and either love it or hate it.  I'm coming down on the side of love.  Those of you that know me well enough, even I will admit when something I do sucks so you know I ain't blowing smoke up your tailpipe.
I want to wish a very HAPPY THANKSGIVING to those you in the U.S. today.  I had plans but decided to just chill today because I've got non-stop all-day work starting early tomorrow through Monday.  Besides, I can eat turkey, stuffing and pecan pie pretty much anytime I like.
I'm laying down the final master on my annual Holiday Edition and plan on dropping both of those next week.  So, if EDM ain't your thing and you're more into the circuit side of Party Favorz, then you'll have something to look forward to.

HO HO HO!!! I swear on mother’s grave, I didn’t realize I had enough songs to put this thing together.  When the new Kelly Clarkson “Wrapped In Red” remix rolled in, I added it to a folder called “Christmas Dance Unreleased” that contains holiday dance songs I was saving up for later.  I’ve been putting stuff in there since 2010 when I first created the original X-mas Dance Mix.
Lo and behold, it was looking pretty stealthy, so I dropped all the songs into my mixer and I’ll be damned if this thing didn’t come together in 30 minutes!  Being a staunch supporter of Holiday Music in general, I felt it was my duty to give you folks something new to bounce around to for your holiday cheer.
