EDM & House Music: Party Favorz (Circuit, Funky & Dance Classics)

Party Favorz is a dance music podcast and mix series, founded by Keith (aka K j A M), that has been producing and distributing mixes since 2007.
The project’s origins trace back to 1999 in South Texas, where Keith was DJing at a gay bar. After-hours parties were a local staple, and Keith’s branded mix CDs became known as "party favorz"—a nickname that stuck.
The podcast was born by accident on a music-focused blog. Encouraged by friends, Keith’s blogging evolved into Party Favorz, a brand now connecting disco, house, EDM, and circuit trends to a global audience.
At its heart, Party Favorz is about celebration and inclusiveness. No matter who you are, there’s a place for you on the dance floor. It's about providing a soundtrack that serves any moment in your life—whether you're at the gym, poolside, or simply in need of joy.
So, crank it up and get the party started!

Gay Pride 2012 Volume 2 | EDM Edition
Friday Jun 15, 2012
Friday Jun 15, 2012
It’s the second week of Pride Month so that means another set to get you in the mood. This week I’m sending up a delicious concoction of sizzling beats for all the electro-queers among us. Folks, this pretty straight up commercial with a definite edge.
You will also notice in these last sets, I’m paying homage to the life and times of two of the gay communities most revered divas; Whitney Houston and Donna Summer. In this set, I’ve got a banging mashup between Whitney and Rihanna, which will get your ears buzzing.
Also, this is one monster set as will be the following two sets. For those of you who like to burn to CD, may I suggest making an mp3 disc, which is playable in newer cars and DVD players, as well as on your computer. Sorry, but keeping these sets just under 80 minutes doesn’t always work.
I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend. I’ll be back next week with the second banging tribal circuit set. Until then …ENJOY!

Gay Pride 2012 Volume 1 | Circuit Edition
Friday Jun 08, 2012
Friday Jun 08, 2012
Since last year, we gays officially have our own month as proclaimed by President Obama. The proclamation is a far cry from the actual law and it’s likely that the homo-hating, cult following Smitten Mitten Romney, who would have to appease fringe America, would undo any such proclamation. Not a problem, we gays will still go on with our parades and fly our flags just like we always have. The fact is we like to have a good time and celebrate life, love and the good ole pursuit of happiness. Personally, I’ll do my part and vote for Obama; if anything to keep the other guy from appointing another right-wing activist judge to the Supreme Court.
For now, consider this set of circuit driven, tribal and progressive tunes your official kick-off of our unofficial holiday. Next week I’ve got a slamming commercial set for the electro-queers amongst us followed by the second set of circuit tricks the week after and finally capping off June (the happiest month of the year) with a funky T-Dance diva-fused house set.
I’ll be dropping in again next Friday so stay tuned. Have a fabulous weekend and always remember to ENJOY!

Funky Disco House Shit

Saturday May 19, 2012
Ready to unleash some electrifying Funky Disco House Shit? You're in the right place because Party Favorz is back with another scintillating mix that's about to raise the temperature of your weekend pool parties, rooftop soirees, and late-night dancefloor escapades. From exclusive remixes to unmissable classics, we've got a sonic tapestry that will dazzle your ears and move your feet.
Speaking of exclusives, don't even think about skipping "Lick The Bush" by Kaskade & Skrillex. This track features a retro disco loop slipped right into its core, a heartfelt salute to our classic disco fanatics. Then, there's John Julius Knight's "Save (Big Love)," an exhilarating rework that elevates the original and spins it into pure dancefloor gold.
Now, let's pivot to some additional tracks you'll want to keep in rotation. Immerse yourself in Crazibiza's "Take Control," a modern twist on funky house that will kick the euphoria up a notch. As if that isn't enough, dive into "I Love The Music" by Seamus Haji and Cevin Fisher—transformed into an irresistibly groovy anthem thanks to the remix talents of Manuel De La Mare and Alex Kenji. And while we're on the topic of reimagined classics, you don't want to miss "You Used To Hold Me 2012" by Ralphi Rosario and Xaviera Gold, spiced up with the DJ Chus and David Penn Remix. This revamped tune is like a double shot of espresso for your Funky Disco House Shit playlist.
As we groove through this new set, it's crucial to remember the legendary icons that brought us here. This mix is dedicated to Donna Summer, the irreplaceable QUEEN of DISCO. We've lost too many greats, including Loleatta Holloway and Whitney Houston, but Donna's impact is a reminder of the power of music to heal, inspire, and unite. Her voice carried many of us through difficult times, and her legacy will continue to move us, both emotionally and on the dance floor. Rest in peace, Donna. Your voice and your spirit will forever be a part of the music that fills our lives.
So, folks, prepare to turn up the volume and let the Funky Disco House Shit take over.
Until the next time... ENJOY!

Electro Magnum

Thursday Apr 26, 2012
I realize I said that I’d be working on something funky for the next release but it just wasn’t coming together. Once more summer music roles in, I’ll go back and take another look at it.
In the meantime, I went ahead and put together a slamming house set for you folks. It started out as a big room banger but it was pointed out to me that the song “Molly” is about pure form ecstasy. I think Deadmau5 and Madonna got into a tiff recently about a song she was going to use on her album by that name and blah blah blah, you can look it up. Anywho, in keeping with the Party Favorz disclaimer:
“Party Favorz DOES NOT promote nor endorse the use of narcotics. Frankly, house music is the only drug your body needs to have a good time.”
I went back and dropped the song, which totally screwed up the flow. So, I brought in some straight-up house and dropped in the some progressive to balance out the electro and then sprinkled a few commercial cuts for diversity and capped it off with the dubstep version of “Video Games” by Lana Del Ray (a personal favorite at the moment).
I’m certain that those of you who don’t want their dance music to be all Top 40 all the time, will def appreciate this.
That’s all I got for now. Hope everyone has a great weekend. I’ll try to get something going on the funky house set. Until then…ENJOY!

Spring EDM 2012
Saturday Apr 14, 2012
Saturday Apr 14, 2012
I know, I know it’s about f’ing time I put something out. Life has had me tied up in knots lately and I just haven’t had the time to sit back and do what I enjoy most. That is knocking out a mix every once in a while. I’m going to do my best to drop at least one a month. Right now I’m leaning towards something in the happy house arena for May, so be sure to subscribe to updates via Blogger, PodOmatic, Facebook, Google+, RSS or email.
As for this set (the first of 2012), it is unapologetic mainstream. There’s just no way of getting around it. Trying to keep up with everything is difficult, to say the least, so I thought it best to go with what I know works.
I went ahead and pulled out some hot tunes that I missed this year and coupled it with some awesome bootlegs of current mainstream pop songs and sandwiched those between a bevy of current dance floor hits to keep it interesting. I’ve gone over every inch of this mix and I have to say I am pretty damn pleased as I think you will be too.
That’s it for me on this chilly spring morning. The ATL should be bleeding sunshine all day so I’m looking forward to getting out once things start warming up. That’s it for now and I do hope everyone has a fabulous weekend. Until the next go around…ENJOY!

Top Dance Songs of 2011 Volume 2
Saturday Jan 14, 2012
Saturday Jan 14, 2012
The year 2011 was an exceptional period for dance music, yielding an impressive collection of tunes that not only resonated with the club scene but also transcended it. Some of these top dance songs of 2011 showcased pioneering artists, DJs, and remixers who managed to create memorable tracks that truly left an imprint on the industry.
One of the standout tracks of the year was Alex Gaudino's collaboration with Kelly Rowland on "What A Feeling" (Extended Mix). This song perfectly blends Gaudino's Italian house music sensibilities with Rowland's R&B vocals, culminating in a rhythmic fusion that is irresistible. Its danceable beat and catchy melody helped it reach significant chart success, making it a cornerstone in the top dance songs of 2011.
Britney Spears, a household name in the pop scene, gave us "Hold It Against Me" (Josh Harris Extended Mix). The track was a departure from Spears' traditional pop style, featuring heavier EDM influences. The remix by Josh Harris, a producer with a storied history in electronic music, added an extra layer of club appeal that was widely appreciated by fans and critics alike.
Another standout was "I'm Into You" (Dave Aude Club Mix) by Jennifer Lopez. JLo has always been known for her dance tracks, and this was no exception. With an irresistible beat and catchy lyrics, the Dave Aude remix gave the song a club-friendly twist that made it a surefire hit.
2011 also saw the rise of Swedish House Mafia, an iconic DJ trio consisting of Axwell, Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso. Their track with Tinie Tempah, "Miami 2 Ibiza", became a global phenomenon, blending the energetic beats of house music with Tempah's smooth rap verses. This track was indicative of a shift in dance music, where boundaries started to blur, and collaborations across genres became more common.
The top dance songs of 2011 would be incomplete without mentioning "Levels" (Original Mix) by Avicii. This Swedish DJ and producer released this uplifting progressive house track that has since become one of the defining songs of the decade. The song's melody, layered with the soulful vocals sampled from "Something's Got a Hold on Me" by Etta James, was a worldwide hit, cementing Avicii's name in the dance music hall of fame.
Furthermore, artists like Selena Gomez & The Scene contributed significantly to the dance music scene in 2011. Their songs, such as "A Year Without Rain" (Dave Audé Club Remix) and "Who Says" (Dave Audé Club Remix), showcased the seamless fusion of pop and dance elements, providing a refreshing take on dance music that resonated with audiences worldwide.
Lastly, it's important to highlight the presence of female artists in the dance music scene, like Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, and Ke$ha, whose respective songs "Last Friday Night" (Almighty Club Mix), "Born This Way" (Manhattan Clique Remix - Main), and "Blow" (Lenny B & Aaron Paetsch Club Mix) not only achieved commercial success but also became cultural phenomena, encouraging self-expression and individuality.
In conclusion, the top dance songs of 2011 featured an array of talented artists and DJs who contributed to the diversity and evolution of the genre. These tracks, filled with infectious beats and memorable melodies, shaped the music scene and laid the foundation for future dance music trends. This era will forever be remembered as a time when dance music truly shone and shaped popular culture.

The year 2011 was undoubtedly a remarkable year in the world of dance music. A plethora of artists and DJs collaborated to produce some of the top dance songs of 2011, generating a memorable collection of tracks that took the global dance scene by storm.
A significant contribution came from Latin sensation Gloria Estefan, who returned with the energetic and catchy tune "Wepa" (Klubjumpers Extended Mix). This track, brimming with Latin beats and Estefan's distinctive vocals, took listeners on a rhythmic journey, positioning it among the top dance songs of 2011.
Enrique Iglesias also made an impact with two popular dance hits. "Dirty Dancer" (Alex Sayz No Rap Remix) offered an appealing blend of pop and dance, while "Tonight (I'm Lovin' You)" (Wideboys Club Mix), featuring Ludacris, delivered a more risqué flavor, demonstrating Enrique's versatility in the dance genre.
Britney Spears, an artist who has consistently impressed dance music lovers throughout her career, once again delivered a remarkable hit in 2011 with "Till The World Ends" (DJ Kue Club Remix). This track's infectious energy and pulsating beats made it a staple in nightclubs around the world.
Meanwhile, Katy Perry, known for her pop anthems, delivered memorable dance tracks such as "Firework" (Wideboys Club Mix) and "E.T. (Futuristic Lover)" (Benny Benassi Club Mix). Both tracks showcased Perry's exceptional vocal range over dance beats, making them favorites in the top dance songs of 2011.
Rihanna, one of the prominent figures in the music industry, presented dance hits that transcended the club scene. "We Found Love" (Calvin Harris Extended Mix) is a quintessential dance track that dominated charts globally, while "S&M" (Dave Aude Club Mix) took a daring step into edgier territories.
Swedish House Mafia, a legendary trio in the electronic dance music scene, delivered "Save The World" (Alesso Remix), a progressive house anthem that featured the haunting vocals of John Martin. This track stands as an exemplary representation of the group's ability to merge emotive vocals with captivating beats.
Adding to the top dance songs of 2011 is the undeniable hit "Rolling In The Deep" (Downtown London Extended Mix) by Adele. While Adele is more recognized for her soulful ballads, this particular remix turned the powerful track into an uplifting dance anthem, showcasing the versatility of her music.
Robyn, a Swedish singer known for her distinct electro-pop sound, provided another memorable track, "Call Your Girlfriend" (Kaskade Extended Mix). Kaskade's remix gave the track a melodic house makeover, blending Robyn's unique vocals with his signature atmospheric style.
Another notable contribution was from the American pop rock band Maroon 5, collaborating with pop diva Christina Aguilera on "Moves Like Jagger" (Cutmore Club Mix). The infectious beat and catchy chorus transformed this pop-rock track into a dance floor magnet.
Lastly, the year saw Chris Brown make waves in the dance scene with "Beautiful People" (Club Mix), a collaboration with Benny Benassi, and "Yeah 3X" (Abe Clements Club Remix). Both songs are perfect examples of the infusion of R&B with dance music, contributing to the diverse musical landscape of 2011.
In conclusion, the top dance songs of 2011 offered a rich blend of sounds and styles, courtesy of some of the industry's most talented artists and DJs. These tracks have stood the test of time, continuing to influence the evolving dance music landscape and inspire the next generation of artists. Jingle Electric 2011

Saturday Dec 03, 2011
The first question for everyone is…Did you miss me? For that matter, did you really think I wasn’t coming back? LOL
No doubt, school has kept my happy ass really busy and once it gears up again next Monday, I don’t expect that to change. However, on occasion, I find myself with some extra time on my hands and feel the need to get back into it. I also noticed that someone had aped my logo on their own Facebook page and someone else tried to start up a page dedicated to past sets of mine. While I appreciate the homage, I thought I needed to get back into to it to show these bitches how it’s done [grin].
Never fear, the real deal is back albeit on a limited basis (as I find the time). Since I’m cutting way back, I’ve decided to stick with the most popular sets that feature a mixture of electro-pop and underground house. This first set is pure mainstream electro-pop, but that will be changed up as the year goes along. I’m sorry to say that the circuit sets are being nixed and likely the t-dance as well (though I’ll leave that option open for the Beach House Edition in the summer…yummy). Regardless, expect to see some more creative and delectable cover art that Party Favorz has become known for, in future sets.
It’s currently sunny and in the upper 20s right now and not supposed to get out of the 30s all day, brrrr. After some asswipe turned in front of me just before Christmas and totaled my car, Rick and I will be out today looking for a new one. I’ve got my eyes on the 2012 Hyundai Sonata Limited Edition (sweeeet!), but we’re not sure if we can swing it just yet. First thing first, we’ll be shopping around for the lowest interest rate before we go in because I know that if you finance through the dealership, they’ll rape you in a dirty back alley and leave you lying there bleeding through your asshole.
Yes, it feels good to be back and doing what I love most, even if it doesn’t pay the bills LOL. I’ve got two Year-end Editions lined up for later this week, so be on the lookout for those as well.
Until then…ENJOY!
Oh, I almost forgot…HAPPY NEW YEAR!

ONO | The Diva Series
Friday Nov 04, 2011
Friday Nov 04, 2011
ONO, also known as Yoko Ono, is an avant-garde artist, musician, and activist who is best known for her pioneering work in performance art and experimental music. Her career has spanned over five decades, making her one of the most enduring and iconic figures in the world of contemporary art and culture. ONO has not only shaped the landscape of artistic expression but has also made a surprising and incredibly successful foray into the realm of dance music.
While ONO has been known for her boundary-pushing artworks and social activism, it may surprise some to know that she's also a significant figure in dance music. Her music offers an enticing combination of the intellectual and the physical, an experience that moves both the body and the soul. Songs like "Walking On Thin Ice (Danny Tenaglia Walked Across The Lake Mix)" resonate with a deep sense of urgency, pulling listeners into a trance-like state with beats that echo through the dance floor.
ONO's other dance tracks have not only topped the charts but also encapsulate her philosophies. "Talking To The Universe (Chris Cox Club Vox)" is a cosmic conversation, a mesmerizing blend of her poetic nuance and pulsating rhythms. ONO has always been interested in bridging gaps—be it between people, ideas, or in this case, musical genres. And this track serves as an aural microcosm of her lifelong mission.
In a similar vein, "Give Me Something (Dave Aude Vocal Mix)" reflects ONO's characteristic desire for connection and understanding. The track is a plea, a call to action, and a dance anthem all rolled into one. Its success on the dance charts is a testament to its universal appeal and the power of ONO's words set to an infectious beat.
ONO's songs often incorporate her poetic ideals. "Everyman... Everywoman... (Ralphi Rosario Hydrate Club Mix)" serves as an anthem for equality and acceptance. It's an embodiment of her belief that dance music, like any other form of art, can be a catalyst for social change.
"Give Peace A Chance (DJ Dan Vocal Mix)" is a reinvention of one of her most iconic songs, repurposed for the dance floor without losing any of its original meaning. In doing so, ONO shows that the fundamental messages of peace and unity are not confined to a single genre but are universal truths that can be celebrated in a myriad of ways.
Her philosophy and poetry have thus naturally flowed into her dance music, allowing her to reach an even wider audience. The beats and rhythms serve as a new form of expression, a different kind of poetry that engages people in a very direct way. It's a living testament to ONO's enduring belief in the power of art to shape the world, one dance floor at a time.
It's a great honor to induct Yoko Ono into the Diva Hall of Fame.
Until the next time...ENJOY!
Donate and keep the party going!
