Fall’s Biggest Dance Club Songs: Back 2 School Edition
Sunday Sep 11, 2022
Sunday Sep 11, 2022
Party Favorz is back and swinging for the fences as we get back to our normal programming schedule the Back 2 School Edition featuring fall's biggest dance club songs. There's a lot to unpack here so let's get started.
We kicked off the set with Beyonce's Break My Soul, which was a little slow out of the gate before people started getting on board. The songwriting credits included the writers for the 90s Robin S classic Show Me Love but to me – there were zero similarities to either song. Both use the standard House music loop featured in most songs back in the day but with little resemblance to that earworm hook courtesy of the StoneBridge remix, which is what made the original a massive hit. Finally, DJ Mike D had the good sense to remix the song with that familiar riff and it works in spades. Still, the best remix of the track that flips and turns it into a big room crowd-pleaser is from our good friends from Houston, Dirty Disco.
In fact, Dirty Disco appears to be the go-to for remixing the biggest songs hitting the charts these days, and for good reason. While they don't have a specific signature (which is one of their finest qualities) — they seem to approach each remix with a different mindset and give it what it needs to turn it into a massive dance floor scorcher. You will hear plenty of examples in this set but the one that really takes the prize is their remix of Calvin Harris' Stay With Me featuring Justin Timberlake, Halsey, and Timberlake. We all know superstar DJ/producer Calvin Harris has a lot of friends in high places but even they couldn't save this song. Enter Dirty Disco from stage left. They massively restructured the original and turned it on its head, which further showcased what the song could be. The remix is so massive and catchy that it got a feature spot in this set when it otherwise wouldn't have.
Another DJ people and labels should be keeping an eye on is DJ Ranny. He's been around a while but has proven himself to be more than just a big-room tribal circuit DJ. His WAP remix by Megan Thee Stallion and Cardi B was a masterpiece several years ago. Party Favorz is proud to include his original Rave Bunny, which samples the Alice Deejay classic Better Off Alone and delivers an all-new smoking hot Future House song that should be on every DJ's setlist and on your Spotify playlist.
https://youtu.be/ok7xXlw8yQc
Back 2 School has not only the latest and biggest songs of the season but several earworms of the summer that have gotten new remixes that we here at Party Favorz can't get enough of. Also, there is a multitude of throwbacks included and I'll let y'all spot them as they come up because many aren't labeled as such.
One such song comes from the leftfield and was totally unexpected. One of our favorite Divas Miss Leann Rimes has dropped a cover of the Alanis Morissette classic Univited on YouTube. It's an acoustic cover with the accompaniement of piano only. Because the snobs in the music press wouldn't dare cover a country artist — even if they have had a strong presence in the club world for decades — Miss Rimes has teamed up with Dave Aude for a remix of this song, which is featured here and it's OMFG unbelievable. Anyone familiar with the original or is a fan of Alanis will get chills just listening to Leann transcend this song from one generation to the next. After all, she was just a kid when the original went to #1 on the Top 40 charts — albeit a kid wtih a blossoming country music career who was being hailed as the next Patsy Cline.
Ultimately, Party Favoz has left no stone unturned and also wanted to contribute our bit of sunshine into what are very troubling times throughout the world. Thankfully, these songs aren't just throwbacks but currently riding high on dance charts meaning that people are gravitating towards messages of hope. Bob Sinclar's classic Wold Hold On resonates as much now as when it was released over a decade ago and topped worldwide charts.

Madonna — The Ultimate Bootleg Collection Volume I & II
Saturday Sep 03, 2022
Saturday Sep 03, 2022
This past month, we've been immersing ourselves in the music of Madonna, celebrating her birthday with a series of mixes that showcase her timeless talent. The latest and final set in this series is a five-hour extravaganza that seamlessly blends classics and bootlegs, displaying the versatility and vitality of the Queen of Pop.
Party Favorz delved deep into the world of Madonna remixes, navigating through a maze of hundreds of bootlegs to bring you the best of the best. These aren't just your run-of-the-mill modernizations of the original tracks, but unique reinterpretations that retain the spirit of the song while adding a fresh perspective. Standouts include the Parralox remix of "Borderline" which infuses it with a New Wave vibe, and the Luxar remix of "Justify My Love" that lends it a grittier, Nine Inch Nails-esque aesthetic.
Our mix journey includes notable mashups like DJ Bill Bennett's 'Erotica vs. Cafe Del Mar', and the infamous "Music Sounds Better On Holiday", a White Label Stardust vs. Madonna mashup from 1998. While the latter's quality wasn't perfect due to its vinyl origins, we've done our best to clean it up for your listening pleasure.
The magic of this final set is not just in the individual tracks, but in how they flow together. From the high-octane Sultan & Shepard mix of "Give Me All Your Luvin'' to the tribal-infused Dirty Disco remix of "La Isla Bonita", every transition is crafted for optimal cohesion.
We understand that everyone has their favorite Madonna tracks, and while we may not have included every single one, we're confident that the range of familiar tunes and exciting new remixes will leave you pleasantly surprised.
This series, as expansive and exhaustive as it is, represents some of our best work yet. Party Favorz believes that not setting artificial timelines for completion has allowed us to exceed expectations in terms of quality.
Thank you for joining us on this musical journey. We'll be back soon with our next Club Dance set. Until then, enjoy the music, the memories, and the magic that is Madonna.

Madonna — The Ultimate Dance Collection Volume 3
Saturday Aug 27, 2022
Saturday Aug 27, 2022
Madonna, the undisputed Queen of Pop, has now entered the fourth chapter of her illustrious career. This phase, which is still unfolding, sees her working in collaboration with Warner Brothers to produce deluxe anniversary editions of her expansive catalog. Fans can look forward to the inclusion of her last three albums - MDNA, Rebel Heart, and Madame X - in the Warner Brothers collection starting in 2025.
What's more, an autobiography movie is also in the pipeline, with Madonna herself set to direct. This venture promises to bring new insights into her fascinating life and career, and is eagerly anticipated by fans worldwide.
Even as she undertakes these new projects, the rumor mill suggests Madonna might be silently crafting a new album. Known for her love of touring and interacting with fans, it wouldn't be surprising if she's been channeling her creative energy into fresh music amidst her familial commitments.
Despite the modern musical landscape shifting towards a 90s House revival, Madonna's influence on the dance genre over the decades is undeniable. Whether she'll choose to revisit her dance roots in this current era remains to be seen, but knowing Madonna, any endeavor will be executed in her distinctive, spectacular style.
Although her reign as the Queen of Pop was most dominant in the 80s and 90s, Madonna's success has never been confined to these decades. Her global hit "Hung Up" reached #1 in 41 countries, despite less enthusiasm from American radio, which often overlooks aging pop stars in favor of younger talent. Regardless, her success on Billboard's Dance Club chart is testament to her enduring appeal and ability to craft irresistible dance hits.
With a staggering $1.31 billion grossed in touring revenue, Madonna is the third highest-earning touring act, surpassed only by The Rolling Stones and U2. Her iconic 1990 Blonde Ambition Tour set a new standard for live performances, becoming a blueprint for many subsequent artists.
Madonna's most recent release, "Finally Enough Love", celebrates her 50 #1 Dance songs. This Ultimate Dance Collection, a compilation of her biggest hits, is a treat for fans and is available for streaming on Spotify. The third volume of this collection features remixes from the albums Confessions on a Dance Floor through to Madame X, and includes fan-favorite tracks such as "God Control", "Devil Pray", "Future Lovers", "Forbidden Love", "Heartbreak City", and "Masterpiece", amongst others.
For those who can't get enough of Madonna's music, Party Favorz has been curating The Ultimate Bootleg Collection, which promises to be a fan-made extravaganza of Madonna remixes. Stay tuned for this exciting release next Saturday. In the meantime, immerse yourself in the sounds of the Ultimate Dance Collection and enjoy the best of Madonna.

Madonna — The Ultimate Dance Collection Volume 2
Saturday Aug 20, 2022
Saturday Aug 20, 2022
Get ready Madonna fans, because Madonna Month is still in full swing! And this time, we're taking you on a journey through time with The Ultimate Dance Collection Volume 2. This collection is an absolute treasure trove of Madonna hits, so let's dive right in.
This second volume comes with a unique twist – we're revisiting hits like "Like A Prayer," "Express Yourself," "Keep It Together," and "Vogue," but this time in the form of Shep Pettibone's remixes. As an influential figure in the House Music scene, Shep's remixes gave these Madonna classics a fresh new sound. His collaborations with Madonna, starting with remixes of her "Like A Prayer" album tracks, marked a significant shift in Madonna's musical style, paving the way for her to experiment further with her work.
Madonna's venture into the 90s was marked by not just musical growth, but also her ability to stir up controversy. Her greatest hits album, "The Immaculate Collection," included the provocative "Justify My Love" – a video so controversial that MTV only aired it after midnight. But it wasn't just about the controversy. This decade also saw Madonna delve deeper into House Music, Trip Hop, and Electronica, and collaborate with the likes of William Orbit.
The 90s also saw the release of Madonna's "Erotica" and the controversial coffee table book "Sex." Despite the backlash, Madonna remained unfazed, even addressing the criticism in "Human Nature" from "Bedtime Stories."
The 90s and early Millennium brought us two distinct phases of Madonna, each marked by the influence of different DJs and producers. From Shep Pettibone's era, we move to William Orbit, then onto Junior Vasquez, and finally to Victor Calderone and Peter Rauhofer – all staples of Madonna's reign on the dancefloor.
In curating this set, I've tried to retain the original flow of the songs, with minor edits to improve clarity and cohesion. Notable mentions include "Bedtime Story," "Secret," and "Human Nature," where certain segments have been edited to fit better into the overall landscape of the song.
One particular addition that's worth mentioning is the Hex Hector remix of "The Power Of Good-Bye." While this unofficial remix was not his style until the early millennium and likely created as part of his private collection, this version fits perfectly into the Trance and Progressive House era, making it a suitable addition to this collection. Aside from the that, the original limited release remixes were not exactly stellar.
This era of Madonna's career holds a special place in my heart as it coincided with my own journey of self-discovery as I slowly stepped out of the closet. I've put an immense amount of work into creating this set, pouring more time into it than any other project in the past 15 years. I've strived for perfection, and I hope fellow Madonna fans will agree that this collection is truly exceptional.
So, sit back, relax, and enjoy this trip down memory lane with The Ultimate Dance Collection Volume 2. Here's to more Madonna Month magic!

Madonna — The Ultimate Dance Collection Volume 1
Saturday Aug 13, 2022
Saturday Aug 13, 2022
Party Favorz is ecstatic to unveil The Ultimate Dance Classics, a dazzling celebration of the inimitable dancefloor queen... MADONNA! Only two sets have been mastered thus far, each posing its unique set of challenges, yet presenting a fantastic journey through Madonna's iconic dance hits.
The first set revisits all her 80s dance hits, with a few extending into 1990. This period marked the genesis of Madonna's career, where she not only etched her name in the annals of music history but also paved the way for women to become outright superstars. From the nude photos published in Playboy, the tumultuous marriage with actor Sean Penn, to the Pepsi tour deal controversy surrounding the "Like A Prayer" video, Madonna was a master at creating or adeptly managing controversy.
Volume 1 of The Ultimate Dance Classics encapsulates these years with a stunning array of dancefloor burners and chart-topping pop songs that defined the decade.
One of the unique aspects of mixing 80s music is its reliance on electronic music based on a simple snare drum that maintained perfect timing. This pattern, consistent in mixes from Disconet, Hot Tracks, and Ultimix, facilitated seamless transitions for DJs, eliminating the worry about the key of a song. My primary focus was on the flow, diligently curating and arranging tracks to ensure a cohesive and purposeful transition.
This is my second attempt at crafting an 80s set for Madonna, and I'm delighted with the result. The way these sets have materialized, including the upcoming Volume 2, far surpassed my expectations.
For those not in the loop, Madonna is gearing up to release "Finally Enough Love," a celebratory compilation of her 50 dance songs that topped the Billboard Dance Club chart. While these tracks are edits, some of which are incredibly rare, I urge you to support her work, as fans have been eagerly waiting for this release. All of her hits, including this compilation, are available for streaming on Spotify.
I'll return next week with Volume 2. Until then...ENJOY!

The Ultimate Summer Dance Party: Summer Melt 2022
Saturday Jul 23, 2022
Saturday Jul 23, 2022
There's no denying it; Georgia summers are notoriously hot. But don't fret, we've got your back with our annual summer dance party mix! Just as the temperature plateaus at a bearable 90 degrees Fahrenheit, Party Favorz is swooping in to elevate your summer vibes. Forget about the humidity, grab a cold one, and let's talk about the soundtrack to your summer—Summer Melt.
Why Summer Melt is the Summer Dance Party You Need
Summer Melt is more than just a playlist; it's a journey through the current dance music scene. It’s an intoxicating blend of House, Melodic House, Nu-Disco, EDM, Tech House, and even Latin House. But it doesn’t stop there; the mix also includes jaw-dropping reworks of classic tracks that will make you do a double-take. We listened, we curated, and then we listened some more. The result? A finely-tuned summer dance party set that had us even tossing out some great songs because they just didn't make the cut. Yeah, it was a hard decision, but quality over quantity is our mantra.
Indie Labels, We Hear You
I know how it feels to be a small indie label or an up-and-coming artist struggling to get noticed. Trust me, we’re on your side. If your song didn't make it to Summer Melt, don't lose heart. Keep sending us your tracks, because we're always on the lookout for those hidden gems that deserve the spotlight. Party Favorz thrives on promoting music that often doesn’t get the attention it deserves.
What's Brewing in August? Oh, Just a Little Tribute to Madonna
As if Summer Melt isn't enough to keep you jamming, August is about to take things to a whole new level. Get ready for a month-long tribute to the Queen of Pop, Madonna! We’re not just skimming the surface here; we’re going all in with multiple volumes covering her classic dance tracks from start to present. Sure, Madonna has her compilation, "Finally Enough Love," coming up, but our approach is different—more authentic and truer to her club roots. And for the bootleg aficionados, we've got a surprise for you too.
Personal Note: Time Off Before the Madonna Extravaganza
I keep saying I need a break, and this time, I mean it. I've been running Party Favorz at full throttle since February, and I need to recharge and focus on personal commitments. I'll be taking a two-week break, but don't worry; when I come back, I plan on delivering our final Madonna tribute series that'll make this year memorable.
So, if you're looking to make your summer sizzle with the ultimate Summer Dance Party, look no further than Party Favorz’s Summer Melt. It's the sonic experience you didn't know you needed but won't be able to live without.
Until the next time...ENJOY!

Summer’s Hottest Circuit Anthems! — Summer Edition 2022
Saturday Jul 16, 2022
Saturday Jul 16, 2022
It's been a hot minute since our last Circuit & Anthems set and for a good reason. Party Favorz was doling out a marathon of gay anthem classics that 1) there wasn't enough time to complete a circuit set for Pride and 2) there weren't enough worthy new tracks to compile a Pride set.
The good news is that good things come to those who wait. Summer Edition 2022 features the cream of the crop in circuit anthems for your summer workouts and/or pure enjoyment. This one is for the boys that enjoy that big room tribal sound with progressive elements sprinkled throughout.
Speaking of progressive elements — Mor Avrahami has been on a roll with his releases. It's always good to mix these sets up and Avrahami in the vein of Offer Nissim and Yinon Yahel — has been churning out the goods one right after another. Don't be surprised that he shows up here quite a bit. Just know that some of his great releases had to be cut out to keep this set tight.
I also want to point out that "Daddy" by Sleepsleep & Tahlia Paris takes on a new life once Jace M & Toy Armada got their hands on the song. They've sampled the disco classic "Relight My Fire" by Dan Hartman. To my knowledge, this song has never been sampled before because it doesn't lend itself to a specific hook. It's one of those epic disco classics that starts with a prelude and three minutes later veers into the actual song. In this case, neither has any association with the other but merely connects the two parts.
Jace and Toy sampled the prelude for the basis of "Daddy" turning the darker original into a fun tribal-disco romp that's bound to pack floors around the world. I don't think most DJs would have thought to sample that aspect of the song because it's just okay but damn if it doesn't work so well here.
There's a lot to get excited about in this latest circuit anthems release but I'll let the music do the talking. I should be back next week with our Summer Melt series featuring the latest Dance Club hits and club tracks heating up dance floors. Until the next time...ENJOY!

Beach House 2022 — The Biggest House Music Songs of the Summer!
Saturday Jul 09, 2022
Saturday Jul 09, 2022
Party Favorz is back with the annual edition of Beach House, which features the biggest house music songs of the summer.
You will notice that the latest releases 'Break My Soul' by Beyonce and 'Massive' by Drake are included. At the moment, these two mega artists are being credited for the resurgence of House Music when that couldn't be further from reality. The truth is, House Music never went anywhere and has continued to be enjoyed throughout the world's clubs for decades since its introduction in the mid-80s. Like every musical genre — House Music has had its moments of commercial popularity before going back underground and then resurfacing again.
House Music was already having a major commercial impact in the UK with the massive remake of the Rufus & Chaka Khan 'Tell Me Something Good' by Scottish DJ Ewan McVicar. At this very moment, 'Afraid To Feel' by LF System is not only topping the Beatport charts but virtually every Spotify dance music list as well as peaking at #2 only being held back by the unexpected resurgence of the 80s alternative hit 'Running Up That Hill' by Kate Bush. As with most musical trends — The UK leads the way followed by Europe and then the rest of the world. Even without Beyonce and Drake entering the fray — House Music was already poised to make a comeback.
As such, the first quarter of Beach House starts with some heavier House tunes that are all the rage at the moment. The Dirty Disco remix of 'Break My Soul' is possibly some of the best work the duo has ever laid down.
One other bit about BMS that's bothering me is the crediting of the writers for the Robin S classic 'Show Me Love.' BMS uses a standard House Music loop that's been prevalent throughout House Music since the early 90s. SML was originally released in 1990 but it wasn't until 1992 when the Swedish duo StoneBridge remixed it adding the familiar, hook-laden loop that the song blew up across the globe making it an instant House classic. BMS does not sound anything like the song they're giving credit to.
It's funny because BMS has more in common with another 90s House Music classic 'Push The Feeling On' as remixed by Marc Kinchen (MK). This is another one of those tracks where the original failed worldwide success until it was remixed going from a Euro-techno track to a House Music Track. Even then, I wouldn't necessarily give songwriting credit to the Nightcrawlers or MK either.
In this hyper-lawsuit-driven world where successful artists are frequently sued for infringing on existing work — it's understandable that the label may want to get ahead of it and just give out songwriting credit before people start lawyering up. This is one of those instances where common use comes into play.
Still, the writers of SML got credit and Robin S got a bouquet of white roses, so I guess everyone's happy.
Most importantly, Party Favorz thinks that our House Music lovers are not only gonna be happy but thrilled with this year's Beach House offering. There's a bit of Disco-House and Deep House giving it that summer feels you'd expect so as not to disappoint our discerning listeners. We've had this on repeat this last week and it hits all the marks. Until the next time...ENJOY!

Summer Throwback Dance Party 2022 | Old School Music Mix with a Twist
Friday Jul 01, 2022
Friday Jul 01, 2022
Eager to ignite a wave of nostalgia, I initially aimed to debut a Block & Crown (Adri Blok) Legacy mix in November as an ode to old school music. However, as time grew short, I had to place this project on hold. With the 4th of July holiday weekend upon us, I found the perfect opportunity to delve into my vast archive of classic mashups and bootlegs, fusing them into an unforgettable 'Summer Throwback Dance Party'.
Their tunes have sporadically surfaced on Dance Club, Peak Hour, and Disco House compilations over the years, and acted as a treat for the discerning ear. What binds these tracks together is their shared love for the pulsating rhythm of dance music in all its vibrant forms. You'll discover old melodies reimagined, classic disco or 80s dance tracks seamlessly blended with iconic 90s Hip Hop. The vocals often echo the original artists, though sometimes they introduce a new voice that closely mirrors the original vocalist. While the titles may not instantly ring a bell, the moment you hear them, you'll find yourself saying, "Wait a minute, I know that tune!"
While Block & Crown have owned this Funky House Music space for a while, others, including Richard Grey, Softmal, Nari, Lissat, and more, have also carved out their space in the throwback dance party landscape. More recently, Ghostmasters, The Soul Gang, Ghostbusterz, and Disco Gurls have made a noticeable impact. I suspect Nacho Chapado & Ivan Gomez are the creators behind these aliases, sharing these remixed gems via their Guareber Recordings brand. Their focus primarily lies in the realm of 80s dance, with occasional explorations into different eras.
In tune with the early summer season, I've curated a playlist of dance classics that are the heartbeat of the 'Summer Throwback Dance Party' - the perfect backdrop for BBQs, family outings, or lazy afternoons by the pool. Spanning from the 60s to now, with a few fresh current songs with a retro feel peppered in, this compilation perfectly captures the essence of old school music. Some are straightforward reimagined classics tailored for today's dance floor, much like our 'Thank God It's Disco' series, but with a broader chronological canvas.
Regrettably, some tracks couldn't be included due to their abrupt endings, which posed a challenge for a continuous mix set. Despite this, the 'Summer Throwback Dance Party' has been my constant companion for the past week, promising a timeless party vibe for all.
If you're seeking an escape, this set is your ticket to a temporary paradise. It's a veritable sonic feast!
Keep an eye out for the forthcoming Beach House series - all the tracks are compiled and ready to launch next week. I'm also revamping the Disco House series, but I'll reveal more about that when it's time. Until then...ENJOY!

If the summer heat's got you in a fix, Party Favorz is here to elevate your spirits. Say hello to "Hot In Here" a Peak Hour Summer Mix and genre-spanning compilation that promises to keep your energy levels at an all-time high. With a focus on Tech House and Techno, this mix is perfect for any late-night setting where the crowd is eager to let loose.
A Masterful Blend of Tech House and Techno
One of the standout tracks that offer a masterful fusion of Tech House and Techno is John Summit's "In Chicago." Known for his genre-bending capabilities and tracks like "Deep End," Summit delivers once again. "In Chicago" melds raw Techno elements with textured Tech House beats, making it an indispensable component of any Peak Hour playlist.

Adding to the Tech House portfolio is Ben Kim's "Tear The Club Up." A thumping bassline and invigorating rhythms make it an easy pick for a dance floor eager to live up to the track's title. Ben Kim's unique take on Tech House has been making waves, and this song exemplifies his skill in igniting any venue.
Iconic Reworks for the Modern Dance Floor
Kate Bush’s iconic "Running Up That Hill" receives a fresh treatment by KREAM included in the set. This transformation brings an 80's classic into the modern era with a Tech House touch. It's a prime example of how time-tested tracks can receive new life while respecting their original spirit.

Another delightful nod to a classic comes in the form of Mark Knight & Gene Farris's "I Can't Go For That." A Hall & Oates evergreen, this rendition is spun into a Tech House delight without losing its original flavor, capturing the nostalgia while catering to modern sensibilities.
A Melting Pot of Genres and Vibes
This mix isn't just limited to Tech House and Techno; it spreads its wings to include other forms of high-octane dance music. Tracks like Shouse's "Won't Forget You" remixed by Felix Jaehn offer an interesting detour, blending emotive vocals with contagious rhythms. Such tracks add depth to the overall Peak Hour experience, showing the range of what Party Favorz can offer.
The Ideal Companion for Peak Hour Energy
There’s a reason why "Hot In Here" deserves a spot on your summer playlist. It encapsulates everything you'd want from a mix designed for Peak Hour. From the infectious beats of Tech House to the relentless energy of Techno, this compilation has something for everyone. And as we head into August, don't forget that Party Favorz is cooking up more surprises to keep your summer electrifying. So, pop open your favorite drink, and let this mix fuel your Peak Hour adventures.

The Biggest Dance Songs of the Year…So Far! — Catch-Up 2022 Volume 2
Saturday Jun 18, 2022
Saturday Jun 18, 2022
I decided to surprise everyone by dropping volume 2 of the 2022 Catch-Up series featuring the biggest dance songs of the year so far a day early. Lately, the summer weather has been hotter than hell as we had a high of 102 degrees yesterday and a short-lived massive storm complete with hail that I got stuck in. Life is coming at everyone fast so I figured why put off what you can give the people today.
If you thought any songs were missing from yesterday's drop — they're likely included here. I threw in a few extras to round the final set out and the end result is an early summer party you don't want to miss.
Some of you may have been disappointed that I spent so much time sending up all the Gay Anthem series instead of new music but, to be honest — something is off about new releases. They're just not there and most of what is there is fairly generic. It appears that either the DJ services I rely on are either about to go under or there's just not enough new content that's being delivered regularly. It's hard to tell but when I dive into the world of YouTube, I'm not seeing a whole bunch that's wowing me at the moment. Putting this series together was one of the hardest things I had to do. Don't get me wrong, what's here is stellar and certainly, there was enough to fill two sets with a little help from last year's late entries and a few filler tracks. Still, I couldn't justify putting out redundant sets and passing them off as new material even if there were indeed new big releases from say Lizzo.
I've been working my ass off to deliver those Gay Anthem sets for you folks and in the process lost several subscribers (some of them longtime) while picking up 5x as many during the same period. I don't think those folks will stick around but if they do, welcome.
In short, I'm exhausted and need to recharge my batteries for at least a week. Don't plan on anything new this next weekend but I do have plans for a duel release just in time for the July 4th celebrations. I'll be trying something different. I'll be dropping the next Peak Hour set and I have another party set that's not like anything ever done before on this site that I think everyone will enjoy. It's something I had originally planned for November but put off due to scheduling issues but I think now is the perfect time to go for it.
Still, July will bring our usual releases like our annual Beach House, Summer Sweat, and Summer Melt series which covers all our bases. I may shake up the Beach House series but to be honest, I haven't even started looking at those tracks yet so no decision has been made. Party Favorz is also anticipating the release of a new Beyonce hybrid dance and country album at the end of July and I fully expect it's going to be HUGE. I anticipate an early release that should make it onto the aforementioned series.
In the interim, I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend and digs into the biggest dance songs of the year so far because there's more to come. I'll be back in a couple of weeks with a double-hitter. Until then...ENJOY!

The Biggest Dance Songs of the Year…So Far! | Catch-Up 2022 Volume 1
Friday Jun 17, 2022
Friday Jun 17, 2022
As promised, Party Favorz has officially switched gears into summer mode with the release of our annual Catch-Up for 2022. This set features the biggest and I mean the BIGGEST Dance Club songs of the year right at the midpoint. As typical of past releases, songs released in the last quarter of the previous year are also included because they had so much staying power — they remained in heavy rotation on streaming and in the clubs well into 2022. To be honest, the club business still hasn't fully recovered to the point that it appears Billboard has officially done away with the chart, which started in the 1970s as the Disco Chart. Who's to say if it will ever be back but the one remaining chart they offer in dance music (Electronic Dance Music) isn't worth a grain of salt and frankly not even worth bothering with.
For now, all decisions for songs included in this series are based on YouTube and Spotify streams and we're confident we got it right.
The Catch-Up series also includes new releases that either will be or should be summer hits and are solely based on editorial decisions about what we think should be on your radar. While there are several of these songs included across these two volumes there are definitely some notable ones we think deserve your attention.
First among these is a song released in the late fall of 2021 that apparently never came to our attention. Anabel Englund's 'Midnight Rapture' is an earworm delight that samples the Blondie #1 classic 'Rapture' from 1981. It's in keeping with many artists diving into their parent's record collections and pulling out delights from the decade and re-working the songs with fresh lyrics and a whole new vibe while keeping the original intact. Englund even creates a spoken-word interlude, which is more appropriate today than Debbie Harry's wonderbread rap in the original. Still, if you're not familiar with the song it's a pure delight. You should add it to your Spotify or Apple Music playlist.
Sofi Tukker (a Party Favorz favorite) is back with a couple of earworms for your summer listening. 'Original Sin' follows their trademark sound complete with the 1960s bass riff Tucker Halpern injects to great effect into many of their biggest songs. The Crush Club remix takes into deeper house terriorty but injects a euphoric and uplifting riff into the song about halfway through and is repeated again towards the end. You can add it to your Spotify or Apple Music playlist.
Our biggest pick here is 'Summer In New York' where Sofi Tukker lay down their cool kids indie vibe. Sofi even adds the familiar Suzanne Vega riff from her 1980s song 'Tom's Diner,' which was given the house treatment by DNA in the early 1990s. I'm fairly certain this is Soffi doing it herself and the song does not rely on this injection to make it the surefire summer anthem it is. Instead, it's almost kind of casually thrown in because it fits the whole vibe. If this song isn't on your Spotify or Apple Music playlist — it should be. You can thank me later.
I also want to recognize 'Heat' by TT The Artist, Rony Rex & Psylla. I stumbled on this song by accident and was immediately hooked and haven't been able to get it out of my head since. This is a massive Bass House tune that will blow up any dancefloor and deserves a lot more attention than it's currently receiving. You can add it to your Spotify or Apple Music list here. Check these songs out below:
Party Favorz also wants to give a HUGE shoutout to relative newcomer Ryan Leary who not only creates fantastic remixes of existing tunes as featured here in Marshmello & Khalid's 'Numb' and Swedish House Mafia's 'Heaven Takes You Home' giving the originals a much needed boost but he also appears to be producing his own original work which is available on his website, YouTube channel and SoundCloud. It's definitely worth your time to check him out because he really does have some serious talent brewing and we're expecting to hear...
