EDM & House Music: Party Favorz (Circuit, Funky & Dance Classics)

Party Favorz is a dance music podcast and mix series, founded by Keith (aka K j A M), that has been producing and distributing mixes since 2007.
The project’s origins trace back to 1999 in South Texas, where Keith was DJing at a gay bar. After-hours parties were a local staple, and Keith’s branded mix CDs became known as "party favorz"—a nickname that stuck.
The podcast was born by accident on a music-focused blog. Encouraged by friends, Keith’s blogging evolved into Party Favorz, a brand now connecting disco, house, EDM, and circuit trends to a global audience.
At its heart, Party Favorz is about celebration and inclusiveness. No matter who you are, there’s a place for you on the dance floor. It's about providing a soundtrack that serves any moment in your life—whether you're at the gym, poolside, or simply in need of joy.
So, crank it up and get the party started!

Gay Pride Edition 2008 Volume 2
Friday Jun 13, 2008
Friday Jun 13, 2008
Welcome to part two of my 2008 Pride series. The only thing you need to know about this mix is that it's all about the DRAMA! You know us queens just love to be overly dramatic, and this mix fits the bill. From top to bottom, this should put even the dourest person in a good mood.
I've pretty much got my set list together for the third mix, though I'm still waiting for the much-delayed 'Fame' remixes by DJ Bill Bennett. Hopefully, Sony will stick to their promise and release them next week (fingers crossed). If you are a Sony rep or Bill's manager, feel free to cop me an advance so I can get my next mix finished in a timely manner. Just shoot off an email located in the 'about me' section of this site. I promised not to share (former Scout's honor).
Well, that's about it folks. I hope everyone has a great weekend. Stay tuned, stay focused, and most importantly stay free, gay & happy! I'll be back next week with mix number three. Until then...Enjoy!
Album : Pride Edition v2
Genre : Circuit, Tribal, Progressive
Year : 2008
Total Time : 1:20:02:00
Track : 1
Title : Bring Your Soul Back (Ralphi's Percussive Soul Mix)
Artist : Ralphi Rosario & Giangi Cappai
Nothing special, but some good filler when you're kicking things off or just need something to transition.
Track : 2
Title : Control Yourself (Manny Lehman Dub)
Artist : Erin Hamilton
Amazing new tune by Erin that has plenty of mixes to satisfy any floor. While Manny turns in one of his formulaic mixes, he drops in a mean groove in the middle that I turned around and tricked it up a bit to keep that feeling flowing. Can't wait for the vocal version coming out in late July with part 2 of the already fabulous first set of mixes.
Track : 3
Title : Away From Me (DJ Luis Erre Remix)
Artist : Altar feat. Amannda
Previously used the Altar 'Big Room' mix on my 'Splash Edition', but with so many excellent mixes to choose from, I decided on this even bigger floor stormer that lies somewhere on the Trance tip.
Track : 4
Title : Happy People (Timothy Allan Remix)
Artist : Offer Nissim feat. Maya
Funny how the title suggests something other than what the song really is. To me, this is a very sad song and probably one of the best things from Offer in a while. Also check out his original version which was on the 'Splash Edition'.
Track : 5
Title : Automatic 2008 (J. Louis Tikaro & Ferran Vocal Mix)
Artist : Ultra Nate
It was bound to happen, some new updated mixes from last years mega-smash by Ultra Nate (naughty). Also check out the excellent Riff & Rays mix.
Track : 6
Title : Give Some Love (Tristan Garner Crossover Remix)
Artist : Antoine Clamaran & Mario Ochoa feat. Lulu Hughes
Hot just got hotter! Totally feeling the over the top drama production by Tristan.
Track : 7
Title : 4 Minutes (Peter Rauhofer Saves London Mix)
Artist : Madonna feat. Justin Timberlake
While Peter's 'New York' and 'Paris' mixes are decent enough, this version is still my fave. Besides, we all know the UK has better taste in music.
Track : 8
Title : Over The Night (Allan Natal Energy Remix)
Artist : Sentenela pres. Lipgloss feat. Liz
Another song that made my 'Splash Edition'. While there are several outstanding mixes that accompany this song, I just can't get enough of Allan's massive drama room mix. Excellent companion to Sara Brightman's 'Harem' from a few years back.
Track : 9
Title : When I Grow Up (Ralphi Rosario Club Vox)
Artist : Pussycat Dolls
While I'm not really feeling the original radio version of this song, Ralphi once again shows why he's the master. Totally blown away by this mix.
Track : 10
Title : Hot Sahara (Lenny B Club Mix)
Artist : Fans Of Jimmy Century
If you were disappointed by Gold Frapp's recent musical direction, no need to worry. This two piece group out of San Francisco is picking up where the Frapp left off.
Track : 11
Title : Like A Star (Frank Lamboy Mix)
Artist : Kim Sozzi

Gay Pride Edition 2008 Volume 1
Friday Jun 06, 2008
Friday Jun 06, 2008
Well, it's that time of year again. After kicking things off with all sorts of circuit parties throughout the nation for Memorial Day Weekend, followed by Gay Days at Disney World in Orlando, FL, it's now time for Pride to take center stage.
More than any other year, I feel this could be the most important Pride in a very long time. With the historical primary season behind us and so many gay issues on the table, the largest being marriage and equality, I thought I'd dedicate the entire month of June to Pride.
This is the first of four mixes that will be released every Friday this month. Because the city barred all festivals in Piedmont Park due to the drought last year, everyone was scrambling to secure venues. Atlanta Pride will take place over the July 4th weekend (one week later than usual) at the Atlanta Civic Center. It will be interesting to see how they pull this off since it will be a combination of indoor and outdoor festivities.
Unlike past events, they will require a $5 admission fee and up to $20 dollars for various concerts. Their overall costs to put this on are twice the amount as usual. Frankly, I think that's reasonable and won't be an issue for the majority of the folks. I haven't decided if I'll be hitting up the event or bars (in my newly designed T-shirts of course) giving out CDs promoting the blog. I'll just see how things play out.
As you may notice, the artwork is tied into this year's general election and many of the issues and challenges the gay community faces. Each mix has its own album cover created by yours truly. Some may ultimately be offensive to people, but I am trying to make an artistic statement or if you prefer, a point. I only mention this, because I don't want to be bombarded with a bunch of hate mail when the next one comes out.
Rest assured, I put as much time into creating these mixes as I did the cover art. Since I haven't received any type of feedback other than "love it" (which I always like to hear) I read into something one of our M.I.A. fellow members Tom P. mentioned in an email he sent me a while back.
So, instead of screaming divas all the time, I'm definitely trying to mix things up with some tribal, commercial, big room, electro, dubs, and yes those always fierce divas. Overall, I'm very pleased with the final outcome, and thank Tom for the feedback, even if it wasn't intended that way. See, I do listen even if you aren't talking...LOL!
I don't know where you're at, but it's been a scorcher for the past several days here in the ATL. We may actually get some relief this weekend. Then again, our weather forecasters are generally 50/50 on their predictions. Anyway, I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend and rest assured, I'll be back next Friday with part 2 of this series. Until then...
Enjoy!

Title : Set U Free 2008 (Friscia & Lamboy Vocal Mix)
Artist : Planet Soul
HOT! Classic from the 90's finally receives a fabulous workover. Works on every level. Funny thing is, back in the day when this was played on radio, I went into Musicland (one of the countless record stores chains no longer around) and wanted to buy the single, but couldn't find it. I asked the clerk where was the song "Come Into My Black Hole" (I swear to God that's what I thought she was saying) and the guy just starting laughing hysterically. He goes and pulls the single and hands it to me. Needless to say, I felt like a dweeb (the other thing I thought she was saying in the song...such a dweeb, such a dweeb). Now when I hear this song, I still can't get my own version out of my head. Essential.
Track : 2
Title : Stamp Your Feet (K j A M vs. Ranny Big Room Re-rub)
Artist : Donna Summer
Absolutely love Ranny's mix with one exception. His mid-section drop was kinda pointless and didn't really go anywhere. That's a good way for your floor to lose interest FAST!

Originally my intent was to put this mix out in early July, but I've been in a bit of a funk lately and decided I needed something to cheer me up. Strange, because that kinda feeling usually only happens in the winter. So I did two things to combat this: 1) I joined a gym and am feeling great.
I even convinced Rick to join with me, which was kinda fun watching him. As someone that has never stepped foot in a gym, I thought I'd start him out slow and put him on the elliptical and selected their basic program.
While I'm going away at it, two minutes into his exercise he starts to feel the burn and quits. Disappointed, I suggested the treadmill. Well, that got about a five-minute run before he switched to the bike which got another five minutes...LOL. Then he just stood around until I finished up about thirty minutes later. Geez, I thought I was taking it easy on him.
Nevertheless, he's a trooper and has been going back with me. As I slowly move back into the groove of things, I pushed out our leg exercises to Monday. Watching him do squats and leg curls might be fun, but I promised him I'd go easy. He has one week left on his trial membership, so we'll see what he decides. 2) I needed some good summertime house to round out the equation and this group of songs that I had been compiling was just the ticket. I knew what direction the next Deep Edition was going to go in and realized I had more than enough to make the mix.
So, I sat down and knocked this puppy out in two hours. I'm glad I did because next to Cyndi Lauper's latest, this has been on heavy rotation in my house. Far from the ice-cold renderings of the last three Deep Editions, this is all about summer. Warm and airy, light and breezy on the soulful and jazzy tip, I do believe I achieved my goal.
I hope everyone enjoys this as much as I have. If you looking for the more progressive stuff that's been making up the last several editions of this series, it ain't here.
Going forward, June will be all about Pride. I'm making a total of four single mixes of which two are already complete. Beginning this Friday, the first one will be released followed by a new Pride mix each subsequent Friday throughout the month. Until then...Enjoy!

House Edition 2008 Volume 2 | Pt. 1 & 2
Friday May 23, 2008
Friday May 23, 2008
First, I want to take this opportunity to welcome many of our new listeners on board and thank you for the wonderful suggestions. Many of you are not aware that I have been in the process of moving everything over to Podbean to house all the mixes. As a result, some of the download links may be broken. Because of the amount of storage and archiving available to me, I'm only able to move over so many MBs every month.
Nevertheless, I still have my old 4shared account, and if any links that are not working, please let me know (as some of you already have) and I'll do my best to get them reactivated as soon as possible. I also want to suggest that you browse the archives to find your preferred genre.
For instance, while many of the mixes I completed in March and April may be old by DJ standards, they are chock full of songs that are just now getting national attention and may be more familiar to you. I try to stay ahead of the curve in my mixes, so when I post something new, it may not contain many songs you're familiar with until a couple of months later. Look at it this way, you can honestly say you heard it here first. How cool is that?
Well, I've finally come full circle on the newly created House Edition. As previously stated, the Funky Editions are being discontinued and splintered off into the Electro-Funk and House mixes respectively. The House mixes will contain funky, soulful, and gospel house while the Electro-Funk will be more mainstream tunes. As far as I'm concerned, it's all good.
Doing this allows me to showcase more of the straight-up house music I love so much but doesn't really fit in with the more commercial stuff. On this mix, you will find a lot of gospel and funky tunes with a touch of soulfulness for good measure. In fact, I had about four discs worth of music, but after reviewing an initial mix, I decided there were too many Jesus songs. Not that I have any against Jesus, but there's only so much you can take in one dose and I didn't want anyone to O.D. As you can see, I really packed these mixes. Don't worry, it flows damn well and you won't even notice what I edited out.
I'm completely stoked about what I have planned for June. While I don't want to give too much away, I will say the month of June will be officially dedicated to Pride. Some of the mixes (which ROCK!) are already complete. Wait until you see the cover art.
This is quite possibly some of my best work yet, if not the best. While we here in the U.S. have a three day weekend for Memorial Day, I understand the U.K. is celebrating Pride.
So, I wanna wish everyone overseas HAPPY PRIDE! As for those of you traveling out of town to Austin, Ft. Lauderdale, P-Town or to any of the numerous circuit party destinations throughout the U.S. this holiday weekend, USE IT UP, WEAR IT OUT and just be safe enough to come back later next month and DO IT AGAIN! For now, groove to the sounds of summer!
Enjoy!

Electro-Funk Edition 2008 Volume 5 | Pt. 1 & 2
Friday May 09, 2008
Friday May 09, 2008
It's that time again for some funky electro-house music! Before I get into that, I want to bring everyone's attention to the "Party Favorz 'T' Collection". To your left, you'll notice I opened up a store with a whole selection of t-shirts sporting the kick-ass-cool (if I do say so myself) "Party Favorz" logo. This is something I've been meaning to do for a while and have already placed my order for several T's for my partner and myself.
So, if you wanna sport something really nifty all the while hip, go check it out and see what flavor you like. I have two different logos; the first is the 'deteriorated' logo currently sported on this site and the other is the original shiny 'metal' logo I used when I had the subwoofer's on the site...hmm, maybe I'll go back and incorporate that into one of the designs.
Anywho, you get the silk-screened logo with the "Party Favorz" motto "Use It Up, Wear It Out...Then Do It Again" emblazoned across the front on a high-quality 100% cotton shirt. You also have the option of going for the 'heavy cotton' fabric or lighter weight for those really hot days. Frankly, I don't think there's anything cooler than that. So if you wanna be the 'party favor' or just show your support, why not drop in and pick something out for yourself and your signifigant other?
Furthermore, "Party Favorz" is currently looking for a few good men. Obviously, I have my Pride Edition coming out in June and thought it might be a good idea to have you guys or anyone interested, submit your hottest pics. If you think you got what it takes to grace the cover of the Party Favorz 2008: Pride Edition, email me a HIGH-QUALITY shot for consideration.
As mentioned in my 'welcome' message, house music knows no boundaries and neither does Party Favorz. After all, HOTNESS comes in all stripes. So, whether you're of Asian persuasion, a Latin lover, sexual chocolate or just plain ole vanilla send your pics to kjamproductions@gmail.com for consideration. The person selected will not only grace the cover of the 2008 Pride Edition but will get to pick out a tee from the Party Favorz Collection and have it shipped for free anywhere in the world. Submissions must be received no later than June 7, 2008. The preferred resolution is 300 dpi or higher (please no 72 dpi) and include your first name, state, and country.
In other news, I've decided that there is a great deal of cross-pollination occurring between the Funky and Electro-Funk Editions. Going forward, I will consolidate the two editions. What I decided to do was to share the tunes between the Electro-Funk and the newly created House Edition. Which means, they will both have funky house tunes on them. The style of the mix will determine what edition they ultimately end up on. Regardless, you get more funk for your trunk! Now isn't that what it's all about?
Finally, I plan on beginning work on the next installment of the Classix Edition, which should be a whole lot of fun! Instead of honing in on a specific year, this go around I'll be targeting a decade. More specifically, the 90's! Though the underground house scene began percolating in the mid-80's, it wasn't until the nineties that it reared it's beautiful head and crossed over into the mainstream. Remember Robin S, Crystal Waters, Lisa Stansfield & Ce Ce Peniston?
Of course, you do and that's why I'm so excited about this mix. All and all, it should be a lot of fun and a great beginning to the summer. Speaking of Crystal Waters, she's clearly adapted to today's house scene and has a sizzling new tune on this edition! I can't say enough about "Dancefloor" her latest effort with Speakerbox. So get ready for some seriously electrOfying funk! I hope everyone has a great weekend...and as always,
Enjoy!

First Splash Edition 2008 | Pt. 1 & 2
Friday May 02, 2008
Friday May 02, 2008
Well, it looks as if I'm way ahead of the curve. I managed to clean up my computer, replace the motherboard, backup everything to two external hard drives (for anal retentive sake), and reinstalled Vista now that SP1 is out. I also switched to DSL from Cable (good riddance).
So where did I find the time to knock this edition out you ask? I threw all the songs together in a giant mix and burned it to an mp3 disc so I could preview the tunes I wanted to use for this mix while I was working on the computer. Not only was the mix spectacular, I was able to go back and make a handful of tweaks and of course, edits to cut the time under 80 minutes per mix for those that like to burn to disc.
All told I might have spent 3 hours in total in the mix. I can assure you, it's rare that all the songs I want to use just fall into place, but it does happen. Even though First Splash isn't until the end of the Month, I wanted to ensure there was no overlapping with my Pride Edition that comes out in June. So spacing these mixes out just made good sense.
For those of you who may be wondering what First Splash is, it is Memorial Day weekend in Austin, TX. Much like your White Party and its brethren, this is a major Gay celebration that goes on all weekend. Typically considered the time of year when you're ready to shed all your clothes for more suitable attire befitting the season. You can certainly do that at "Hippie Hollow" a nudist area just off the lake. If you've never been, you ought to check it out.
There's a newer First Splash that started on South Padre Island back in 2000. I was asked to spin two years in a row for the event and the accompanying "Last Splash" which occurs on Labor Day weekend. Though small at the time, it's well on its way to being a viable competitor to the one in Austin. "The Upper Deck" owner has been buying up all the property down the street where his hotel is located and had plans to build a giant indoor club to allow the party to go on all night. I haven't been back in a while, I guess maybe I should.
I really like this mix. Side one is chock full of cheez. Mind you, not that government cheez, but grade 'A' quality cheez. Nevertheless, still cheez...LOL. As the mix progresses, it begins to get deeper about 2/3 of the way down. Side two picks up where mix 1 leaves off and holds steady until the end, where I had to throw in one last slice of cheez, an updated version of the eighties NRG classic "So Many Many, So Little Time". All in all, this is one solid mix that I'm very proud of and I hope will get the boys all excited about Summer! Yay, the warmer weather is on its way and it's time to get all sweaty on the dancefloor again.
I still have a few more things that need to be taken care of, so I may or may not be back this next weekend with my next update. I decided to go ahead and knock out my next Electro-Funk Edition followed by the next installment of the Classix Edition that was originally promised. I'll see how everything pans out, but those of you that regularly visit my blog, know me well enough that I just can't stay away. Until then, everyone have a great weekend and as always...ENJOY!

Sorry for the delay, but Comcast is up to no good again. Previously they had been throttling my uploads around an average of 55 kb/s, but are now limiting it around 5 kb/s.
Heck, with those kind of speeds, who needs cable when dial up is much faster? That's ok. I went ahead and switched to AT&T which I should have up and running no later than Tuesday. It has been nothing short of a nightmare with Comcast. Their commercials always talk about "how fast they are" and their service is "Comcastic" et. al. Since switching from DSL to cable, I can honestly testify that their service is purely "Comcraptic". Slow speeds, constant connection losses and now the throttling of my uploads to the point where it's impossible to get one of my podcasts' uploaded, is completely unacceptable.
Whether I'm uploading to Podbean, Flickr or Mozy (online storage), their service makes it impossible to get anything done without ripping out my hair. Oh wait, I just shaved it off this past weekend, so I guess a better analogy would be in order.
Regardless, you get my point. What's funny (or maybe not), I called in yesterday for my weekly bitchfest with their support department. As always, they check the lines from their end and "claim everything tests fine". If that's the case, then please explain to me why my Internet service went down for two hours yesterday evening, and then when it came back up, all was fine in Comcrapticland? Coincidence? I think not.
If you are experiencing this type of poor quality Internet experience with your ISP, click on the Comcast image on the left hand side and sign up to make your voice heard. Net neutrality is something that's been debated for a long time now, and stands a much better chance of passage now that the Democrats are in charge. Naturally, the ISP's are against it. Why you ask? Because companies like Comcast have oversold their capacity to the point of not being able to viably sustain their networks.
Meanwhile, they stifle competition in the areas they serve, ensuring their monopolistic ventures continue unquestioned and unabated with their already poor quality service. Consequently, they are devising ways to start charging customers for the amount of bandwidth they consume each month. I'm sorry, but the whole point of the Internet and faster connections was to allow people to be more productive while providing an overall better user experience. Unfortunately, it's having the opposite affect.
Those of you that access the Internet wirelessly through your cell phones, your next. At what point do we as citizens demand we get the service the ISP's promise (and that we pay for) but refuse to deliver? The time is now to speak up and let Congress know that you're "mad as hell and you're NOT going to take it anymore". Alright, I'll step down from my soapbox for now...on to the music!
As promised, Party Favorz is serving up another installment of the Deep Edition this week. This time around, the music leans heavily towards a more progressive and tech house sound. From Eric Prydz' now classic "Pjanoo" to Mark Knight's classic update of "Man With The Red Face" or House Music United's "Yes We Can" this is some serious electronica. Needless to say, this is NOT your parents house music.
Listen very closely, as the layer's continue to build one on top of the other like a stack of heaping pancakes. Before you know it, you'll be cooled down on side two with some whip cream and blueberry's. On the latter song, you'll notice HMU dropped in one of Barak Obama's inspirational speeches. While this is in no way an endorsement of his candidacy, the guy can sure give one heck of an inspiring totally prepared speech (sorry had to get that jab in).
Take advantage of these mixes, because as we start sliding into Summer, I won't be doing any of the Deep Editions for a while. Going into the next few months, my primary focus will be on the "House, Electro, Funky & Mainstream Club Editions".

Deep Edition 2008 v4 [Pt. 1 & 2]
Thursday Apr 24, 2008
Thursday Apr 24, 2008
Well, so much for the projects I had planned. It always seems that no matter what I try to arrange, my timing is always off. That's okay because you guys benefit from my delays. In fact, not only do you get my latest Deep Edition v4, tomorrow you get v5 as well! Hey, it's a twofer, not too shabby.
While this mix is definitely more down the deep house path with a little tech house thrown in for good measure, tomorrow's update will be a combination of progressive house and tech house just to mix things up a bit. Between both updates, you get the hottest and most current tunes in their respective genres. Not a bad deal at all.
I'm pleased with the way things are going for the downloads. Looks like we no longer have bandwidth concerns which make downloading less tedious. It also looks like many of you jumped on the iTunes bandwagon as well. I'm glad you like it. Make sure you click the "subscribe" button in iTunes to ensure delivery of my podcasts.
Those of you who do not use iTunes can still be notified via email updates or your favorite reader (i.e. Yahoo!, Google, etc.) So if you haven't done that yet, whatcha waitin' for? Also, you may have noticed I'm playing around with the track listing format. I'm providing a start time for each track that can later be used to split the files up for those of you more technically inclined. Star ratings and reviews will return after my break.
I hope everyone is looking forward to the weekend like I am. I'll be back tomorrow with one last update before I officially take a break. Enjoy!

Funky House Edition 2008 Volume 2 | Pt. 1 & 2
Saturday Apr 19, 2008
Saturday Apr 19, 2008
I finally got this thing wrapped up. I thought I was being so smart and had this mix in the can before my Prog mix last week. So I figured I'd hold out for Mariah's TMB (David Morales Mix) which is supposedly very funky. Unfortunately, that mix has yet to see the light of day, though I'm guessing a CD pressing may be in the works for a Perfect Beat exclusive next week.
Initially, I thought I wouldn't have enough songs to create this mix. Because I held out for the DM mix, new stuff continued to arrive. So yesterday, I went back and threw out the entire mix and started from scratch. I have to say, the end result kicks some serious boot-ay!
Some of you might be wondering...what happened to that funky new Bimbo Jones song? It turns out that the song is not new. Apparently, it was released two years ago. Consequently, I decided not to use it (though I absolutely love the song). However, there is some good news to this story.
Apparently, Bimbo Jones along with Katherine Ellis (who I absolutely adore...watch out Kristine W) has signed a deal with Tommy Boy Records here in the U.S. to release a full album sometime this summer. There is no doubt that BJ has been hot, hot, hot lately. However, "Harlem One Stop" shows an element of their production style that I haven't seen until now. Needless to say, I'm ecstatic about this project and will keep everyone posted.
In other news, I've finally got listed on iTunes and will now be providing a download link for those of you that use the service. I also managed to work out a really good deal with Podbean which will significantly lower my overhead costs and provide unlimited bandwidth. That's right, you heard it...unlimited! If you have read my recent posting in the chatterbox, you'd see that my 4shared account was overwhelmed recently.
Apparently, my Deep Edition v3 was posted on a Russian music site and generated a lot of traffic and downloads. According to their site, by law, they weren't allowed to provide a direct link to the mix. Instead, they provided a link back to my site. Glad they loved the mix, but it ate up all my bandwidth much sooner than normal. Needless to say, this will no longer be an issue.
Finally, you'll notice that I'm slowly implementing changes to this blog. More significantly, I've now added "donation" buttons for the mixes. Even though I've managed to lower my costs in one area, there's not much I can do in another. Better than 2/3 of the music in the mixes has been purchased through one of the legal download services. As you all know, this ain't cheap. You might say, well why don't you hunt it down? For one, I prefer to support the artists whenever possible.
Two, there's not enough time in my day to hunt down this that and the other. Three, as a product of the "gimme more now" generation, I want what I want when I want it : ) So, if you like what I'm providing, how 'bout hooking a brother up with a small donation. $5 every other month or so ain't going to break the bank and collectively goes a long way towards my overall costs. At the very least, please leave some comments and let me know what you think. Sometimes I feel like a cheap one night stand where people just come in and bang and leave. Geez, I feel so used ; )
Alright, that's enough whining for now. Just want to remind you all that I will be taking a sabbatical for the next two weeks to work on other projects that I've neglected. I'll be back with the next installment of the "Deep Edition". Until then, shake, shake, shake (your boot-ay) like there's no tomorrow! Have a great weekend and as always...Enjoy!

Progressive Edition 2008 | Pt. 1, 2 & 3
Friday Apr 11, 2008
Friday Apr 11, 2008
Well, I finally got the next installment of the Progressive edition up and ready. This is the official direction this series will take. That is to say, deep, dark, and very dirty. Lots of tribal and electric throughout.
This is for the hot sweaty men on the dancefloor. While this has never been my style, it's not hard to pick the songs I think will move the boys. Besides, I REALLY like making the cover art for this series...hehehe.
I've been backed up all week, so I cut out the information posted with each track. I don't think anyone is going to mind, because ultimately, it's all about the music. I'm in the final mixdown for the Funky Edition, which will be out next Frigay. After that, I expect to take a 2-week hiatus as I work on other projects.
I hope everyone has a great weekend and please, if you like what you hear, feel free to express yourself in the chat box to the left. Enjoy!

Electro-Funk Edition 2008 Volume 4 | Pt. 1 & 2
Friday Apr 04, 2008
Friday Apr 04, 2008
Well, it's that time again for some Dirty Electro-Funk! As the last time, I had way too many songs and successfully managed to whittle it down to two discs. Not an easy thing to do, but when many of the songs are painfully redundant, it makes my job that much easier.
Did you check out the cover art? I was going for one of those cheesy K-tel albums from the seventies and think I achieved that. My mom always bought these compilations when I was growing up, so I thought it would be cool to bring it back. Don't worry, I'll bring back disco Barbie soon enough.
Also, just want to remind everyone, I'm currently working on the next installment of the Progressive Edition which will come out next week followed by the next installment of the Funky Edition (which is almost complete). After that, I plan on taking a break and will be back sometime in May. WMC is now over, and all the hot summer tunes start coming out. I'm expecting a sizzling summer for club music, particularly good ole funky house.
So all you electro-heads, get after it. I'll catch everyone next week with my Prog edition. Until then...Enjoy!

House Edition 2008 Volume 1
Monday Mar 31, 2008
Monday Mar 31, 2008
Welcome to the first ever Party Favorz: House Edition. Not quite deep enough for my Deep Editions and not quite Funky Enough for my Funky Editions, but definitely soulful and hip enough for a House Edition. There was just way too much good music to let go to waste. Let's face it, this is the music that got it all started back in the late eighties.
Granted, house music is just an extension of disco from the seventies, but it developed into a cultural phenomenon sprouting other offshoots of the style. Electro, Deep, Jack, Trance, Tribal, and Progressive; you can thank the origin from which you sprang. Like no other, house music is and always will be the foundation for all great dance music.
You may notice, this is an unusually long mix. Once I got started, I just couldn't stop. The whole thing flowed so well, I decided not to cut it in half. I'm guessing that most of you will just pop it into your iPod and won't care. Those that burn these mixes to CD, need not worry. Since most players these days support MP3 playback, just burn a "jukebox" disc (as Nero calls it) or MP3 disc as most others call it and you're in business.
I would have had this mix-up on Friday, but my bandwidth was shot as I knew it would be once I uploaded the Spring Edition. So, I decided to wait until today (April Fools) to share it. My bandwidth has reset and you shouldn't have any problems downloading. I've checked into Go Daddy for my future hosting and podcasting, and it's looking like I'll be using them.
Since I'm currently using two different sources for storage and streaming, it not only makes practical sense to consolidate but economic sense as well. Just to let everyone know, when I do that, the mixes might end up being encoded at 192kbps instead of the VBR Extreme I've been using. This is not for certain, it just depends on how much storage I purchase for the year.
I already got my next Electro-Funk Edition ready to go, and you can expect that on Friday. I also started working on the next installment of the Progressive Edition for all our shirtless boys in the clubs and will then begin working on the long overdue Funky Edition. After that, I plan on taking a break until May. In the meantime, for all of you who enjoy my Deep and/or Funky editions, this one's for you!
Enjoy!
Update: Oh joy...my bandwidth came back a day early! Besides, posting on April Fools Day has its risks. Even Mariah bumped her album release (originally scheduled for the 1st) to the 15th. Can you blame her?
